Hey guys, I'm Cube. My "team" and I have been working on a small, crappyish mod. We got a model from a GTA 5 mod (WITH PERMISSION) and, since the 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a personal favorite vehicle of mine, I wanted to bring it into the game. We have two versions currently, one that is based on an automation JBeam (for testing the mesh only, of course) and one that is based on the roamer. It fits the roamer surprisingly jbeam well. Of course, if anyone would like to create a full original jbeam for this, it would be HIGHLY APPRECIATED. I dont want this mod to be just another meshslap, but the issue is im really only the project manager here, I dont have any idea what im doing when it comes to modeling or jbeam. Also, we plan to have all custom sounds recorded, like starter and engine sounds. Gta 5 mod: https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/1999-jeep-grand-cherokee-wj Some pics of the model and the versions we have in-game: (yes i realize the polyflow is pretty bad. I dont know how to fix that but if you do, please do!) So I have a few ideas. First: The normals on the exterior of this car are broken. Luckily, a friend of mine has made a Gmod addon of the exact same car (not yet available for download) and I was thinking we could possibly use some textures from that, as well as the wheel model from that because its a lot better. This body jeep has already been done. This could help.. https://beamng.com/threads/1994-jeep-grand-cherokee-remake-0-5.37171/page-3
sorry I should have mentioned that our main team member hasnt responded to a DM in months, and his job was the jbeam, so I was kinda stuck until I found someone else. Thank you for your offer, you can DM me your discord if you want and we will get started! Edit: saw your discord in your signature, ill add you now.
I can help with the model or jbeam. Btw adding custom sounds is not possible anymore. You will have to wait for later updates.
...What are you talking about, we've already done it. We just need new samples because they were low quality. Also yes we would appreciate help with the jbeam. will you be available often?
