Note: This mod has sadly been cancelled due to me just giving up because I don't play BeamNG.drive anymore and I just lack the skills to make this a good mod. So i decided to cancel this mod, sorry to anyone who has spent time into making resources for this mod. If anyone wants to take over just pm me.

    1997 Ford Taurus

you heard me, The 1996 Ford Taurus is now coming to Beamng

I was inspired to make this car after seeing this video

    As of current:

Can someone do the sounds for me?

This car will come in variants; The Ford SHO, the V6 version, and the SUV verison

Keep it up, and yes the sho has the Yamaha 3.5 v8 for that generation. The sho was very underrated for the time period being Ford had to compete with the impala ss.

was unreliable tho. ford used lochtite on a part that was failing in a recall.
the piston would collide with the valves if the camshaft or timing chain failed caused by cam sprocket failure.
and the tramsmission's were not mean to handle the power they got, so yeah.
very sad. It also was only auto too :p.

take it from me, a self professed SHO nut (i owned 3 in the past) That generation had a 3.4L V8 not 3.5...Otherwise, it's looking pretty good proportionally. You have a long way to go, but just like that Ford Focus thread, I had my doubts but that car has come along quite nicely. Dont bite off more than you can chew, take your time and just do small pieces once by one. Every time you complete something, something else will need adjusting and re-modeling, so don't rush, watch lots of YT tutorials, and just do the best you can.

These Taurii came with a Vulcan pushrod 3.0L V6 (145-150hp) as well as the 24V DOHC Duratec V6 (190-200hp) in addition to the V8 in the SHO (230-240hp). Also it had either column shifter or floor shifter, which gave the car either 5 passenger or 6 passenger capacity (the SHO was floor shift only). There was a wagon version, and also the Mercury Sable was "relatively" similar but was in fact quite different, between the shape of the rear quarter panel, the tail light cutouts/trunk shape, the front bumper/headlights, interior bits and pieces, the shape of the rear window and doors, etc.

and in regards to the "loctite", they would actually use a form of JB Weld that they would use at the dealerships to complete the recall, but independent shops would weld the cam gear to the camshaft. This was the best solution, since the Yamaha V8 was designed as an interference engine. If one of those sprockets failed, it was BOOM new motor (and at the time, those engines cost well over 10K USD to replace)
