RESUMING: Ohh yeaaahhh!!!!!!!!! found a backup of my pickup project, apparently I had it on my previous phone. So its go time again

UPDATE: So far I have (or at least believe) lost every file after my hard drive crapped itself somehow, I'm still searching all my flashdrives and online storage accounts to see if i have a back up of the mesh and/or the edited jbeam

Hey peoples, I'm making a 92-95 Toyota Pickup, I am planning to make a stock and lowered version, a single cab, extended cab, and a four door, I know it sounds too ambitious but I'm fully centered on working on it, I myself have a 94 Toyota Pickup so I have all the reference pics I might need, all criticism/pointers are more then welcome

I like this a lot. Is the stock version going to have four wheel drive? For the 4x4 enthusiasts out there, like me for instance, I'd like to be able to go off road in this. Will that be possible?

You realise that the canopy can simply be a selectable part for all models and doesn't need to be limited to a slammed version. Slammed version just needs different suspension jbeam which can be a selectable part for stock version.

I do agree with you on this factor. A canopy can be for any use. Like a soup bowl for instance.

I know but I think it'd fit better with the lowered version but it will be for all, I got the doors and front bumper done, will post pics when I get home, from there I can start to make the ext cab and the four door version of the body's, what about beds you guys, a long need, regular size, smaller one for the four door and s bobbed bed?

I have a few more questions about the 4x4 version. Will it be an extended cab with the factory 4x4 setup? If so, that is what I am looking for. But, you should include some lift options with some MT tires.

If you manage to make all of these, or even just one at that, I will love you forever. I have a 2000 tacoma ext cab, I think it'll be so fun to drive these around in Beamng. Good luck with the creations man!

You dont need to duplicate the parts. The separate cabs of course need modelling. Separate beds is understandable but not fully needed, it appears to me that there are only 2 bed sizes, in which case you only need to model those 2, multiple different JBeam parts can use the same mesh, JBeam also allows relocating of the mesh (already used in all stock vehicles for the wheels), you can simply model the shorter bed and have the JBeamed bed variants move the same mesh forwards/backwards.
Doors. They are the same on all models, just use the same part on all models? You dont need to duplicate them.

Take a look at the stock vehicles and JBeam. Alot of mesh duplication can be avoided.

As for bed cover suiting lowered version better. UK workmen love bed covers, prevents people nicking their equipment out of the back.

For this, I feel that the progress is good. I also think that duplicating the doors is okay. But make sure there is some variation between the trucks other than the cab size and suspension setup.
