I am canceling this project due to all the hate im getting... i only wanted to make something cool for the game an maybe make some money from it but since no one like the project im canceling it. im sorry guys. My first mod and post and project it is a 1990 ford explorer but i will call it 1990 Fondue Expodite for law friendly I made it using a blueprint from Doug's review (I will credit him in the finished product when the mod is finished.) It has taken me a few hours to get it right and right now it looks pretty good if I say so myself. I will be finished tomorrow and then I will get it in game and then release it as a paid mod. Did you get explicit permission from this Doug? Or was it a YouTube tutorial or something? Also, I highly do not recommend releasing this as a paid mod, as you will be exposing yourself to a potential lawsuit from Ford since you will be using their vehicle (their legal property) to make money. Also, are you actually 10 years old like your name suggests?
Yeah, real life cars are kinda barred from being paid since you're profiting off of another brand name. If it were a lore friendly vehicle that had visual differences from the real car, then sure. Also, expecting this to be finished in the timeframe you're predicting is a bit ambitious since Beamng mods are often times intricate and need skill to make work properly. Plus, hate to say it but I don't think people will want to pay for something rushed
Doug reviewed this car and i saved the thumbnail of his video to my computer to bring it to blender and use it to blueprint my car and make one off it. I left a comment on his video asking him if i can save his thumbnail to my computer and he has not responded yet and if he does not respond then i will delete my blender file as it is technically his property if i made the car using his thumbnail and i don’t want to upset anyone. It would suck if i have to do that as i have put a lot of effort into this project and now i will have to chuck it away but it’s fine ig… --- Post updated --- That is not fair for you to call my work rushed i did not rush it i spended ages working on this perfecting it and now you’re calling it rushed well it’s not it’s worth what i will sell it for please don’t call my project rushed and yes i am ambitious and it will be finished tomorrow the outside of it is done and the inside is almost done but thanks i have made it law friendly
Making your first mod a paid mod is kind of frowned upon around here, unless it is near or equal to dev quality.

If you search "First generation Ford Explorer blueprint" in Google you're met with multiple blueprint images of the Explorer, also Doug doesn't own the shape of the Ford Explorer so it's not illegal to use a picture of the car. Also may I ask what sort of price this would be planned to be if it's paid?
hay btw if it is possible making a config that takes after the explorer from the original Jurassic park film I would pay for the mod
I don't know why you are getting your hopes up, its highly unlikely that this mod will even release, let alone be good. I think it's obvious that the author is a kid who is gonna get banned either from trying to get money from a mod copying an IRL car, or for being underage
Nice work, but... excuse me, what the fuck? I'm going to be honest, for a first mod, this is ridiculous; it should be free. It's not fair to see a newcomer like you make a thread for their first car mod and make it paid. Also, no offence, but the lore-friendly name (Fondue Expedite) sounds ridiculous. At most, it should be a Gavril or a Bruckell. Not to mention, making a paid mod with IRL branding is copyright infringement, and I've already lost count of how many times I've said why it is a bad thing. And no, I'm not trying to discourage you, I'm just extremely disappointed to see the BeamNG community in this state, especially with the alarming amount of WIP projects that never go anywhere. This is just a new low.
