IBISHU MILADY 300mxWatt2007's New Thread Update! Changed the name for car type reasons Since the mod is kinda dying, I will show you guys a mod currently being worked on called the Soyoko currently being worked on by @liamkw09 https://www.beamng.com/threads/94-05-hirochi-sunburst-soyoko.103124/ So this Is my first mod, and what I am making is the Nissan 300mx, Its going to be Lore friendly so its called the "Ibishu Milady 300mx". I am using blender obviously, and I am pretty new at it, but I saw some tutorials so I know most of the basics. This Mod idea I have is from multiple reasons, one reason is because I want to make a mod that lots would enjoy, and I I'd like to do this for the experience while I'm at it, I love Japanese cars, I want to try something new that I want to succeed on, and I just want to make a high quality mod with a lot of features. (Sorry If my formatting is poor, I am new at this modding thing.) Once this mod is done I hope to make more mods, and maybe I can become more popular in the modding community, and I get more experienced. Hope you like my mod, Enjoy! Btw I am pretty young (was Age 16 now 17), so please try to expect not much of me, thank you. I am hoping when I am more experienced at modding in blender I will make my own Car models. This mod I being made on a pretty crappy Laptop but It works pretty well on blender and "functions" on Beamng, and that's fine. Progress (Inspiration from other threads): Red: Not or little progress Yellow: Mid progress, or almost done Green: Fully done Model: 90% The model parts are fully separated, now car body in general is being dealt with, but no textures yet. Need extra help, with another person willing to help! Jbeams: 15% Its Imported, lined up, needs door jbeams, and possibly more, w/ help of @liamwk09 Configs: 0% Coming when stock car is done Skins: 0% Soon to be from @bluebguy1653 Parts: 70% maybe, more progress, parts are in, but no textures yet. Frame of vehicle is nearly finished. Interior: 0% Needs a major update, old Interior model needs rework. Need help with 3rd person. And that person is good at modeling too. Unless I can get a fourth one who is good at modeling, that's fine! Textures: 0% None yet, and need help with that too, w/ 3rd person or more, who's good at these, please. Update: Summer break so no school and more progress now, Yippee! Images Coming soon. Btw feel free to give any input to help me, I would be very thankful. Credit's: @bluebguy1653 For allowing to help out on the skins! Its much appreciated! "@Lexy16" For car model from SketchFab @liamkw09 for the extra help of my mod, Thanks! @Angry_Bird Allowed me to use the engine from their personal mod and extra engine parts for extra help with my mod, Thanks so much! The pictures shown below, are from the past, when the textures were on by me, but I kinda forgot how to put them back on, when the save was lost.
Since I am new at this, and This model is hard to deal with, I might need some help with coding the car, the jbeam, how to import it, and lastly how to make working parts on it, sorry, it is a lot, but I am new at this, and I am stuck. I might as well just stop my mods progress, if i can't figure it out, and don't get help. Sorry for the info. Try to notify me, please if you are able to help me, I would be so thankful
Made a tiny bit of progress, I made most of the parts as far as I know separate parts, I will soon making doors, trunk, and hood openable, accurate to the real car.
My suggestion would be using the ETK-K Series JBeam as basis (and for the tailgate you could use @Est 's Supra A80 tailgate opening prop) in terms of overall JBeam integrity and openable movement.
This is great! my suggestion is to change it to 'ibishu 300bx' as we have the gen before this on the repository. That way you can put it up there where it is easier to download etc.
if the poly count is real hard to deal with you could also get the forza model since they are made for games (Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo | Forza Wiki | Fandom), But just make sure you have all the tools forza studio, nodebeameditor and notepad++
I will look into that, I hope it is easier to deal with. Thanks! --- Post updated --- It is outdated, I can't access all the tools I need, They are apparently closed down, I might need to stick to the harder way, because I can't figure it out. Sorry
yeah it is outdated but I can send you links to the tools if you want. Just a bit hard to get them to work nice
I second this, the 200BX rear suspension is very similar to the multilink setup Nissan used in the likes of the S13, R32 and Z32 300ZX and overall the 200BX is the closest car in game, construction wise, to the Z32 making it the best starting point lol please don't, the Z32 from forza looks like it was modeled by Stevie Wonder plus forza meshes are actually pretty high poly (and still manage to look bad lol), the one the OP posted from sketchfab looks much more suitable imo (aside from lack of detailed interior) I mean yeah, that is the only way you will improve, that said the skillset for making a whole car in BeamNG is quite high, so don't be discouraged if things don't go to plan most people would suggest to start with making simpler things such as skins or bodykits for existing ingame content, then once you have some proficiency in 3d and jbeam, moving on to a standalone vehicle
