So... since the Hummer H1's name was derived from the nickname "Humvee," which in turn originated from HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle), will the B1 perhaps have any lore related to how it became branded as the Brutus? Maybe BRJT (Battlefield Relocation Joint Transport), known to soldiers as the "Brute?" I don't know, just putting out ideas.
How about dropping the "J": Battlefield Relocation Unit Transport Universal System Given that vowels tend to be added into military acronyms as speakers see fit, we could even get rid of "universal" and make it work.
Good thinking. I like "BRUTS" better than "BRUTUS" or "BRJT." What about Battlefield Rough Terrain Utility System? It's "BRTUS," but we can pronounce it ber-tuss, which might be easier/more logical to insert a vowel in the middle of than bruts.
