Well guys, somebody else remade the bandit and it's absolutely awesome. I'll leave this thread here as in the future i might make some more body types and an expansion for @RyanCookie 's mod. Look at the current, ancient Gavril Bandit That's what it looks like. NO TEXTURE More NO TEXTURE Even More NO TEXTURE That's all the NO TEXTURE I could find Only 5 configs and just 1 body type Still has a rigs of rods thumbnail It's also a unibody, so I will be giving it a full revamp, modified body, and morebody options like sedan, wagon, coupe, vinyl top convertible, ute, panelvan and more customisation. Modeling - 15% Texturing - 0% Configs - 2% (some ideas tho) I will post some photos of the car soon. --- Post updated --- I don't really know whether to do the body and then everything else like the doors or just do it as one whole. I'd like advice. --- Post updated --- I don't know whether who do the body whole or do each part individually, I think i do everything individually but I wouldn't really know.
FYI the guy is @Atomix . I really hope he approves of this, cuz that mod is awesome and totally deserves your remaster!
best of luck on this project. we both have 80s AUSSIE cars as profile pics. Mine is the XF falcon. and you a lovely VH commodore haha.
I'm kinda considering making the car in automation and then editing the jbeam and stuff to make it a proper beamng car. I heard somewhere once that the vertex, an extremely high quality mod was made in automation originally and then converted. Is this a stupid idea or am i onto something?
I say you should contact some modders to help you, the model is nearly 20 years old (comes from rigs of rods)
The Vertex took an extreme amount of time and effort to change, and there’s almost nothing left of it that’s Automation. So that may not be the best idea…
I am looking forward to this the gavril bandit was always a neat car when it worked but it slowly became obsolete with all the other old mods
I feel it's more of a late 60s American car - not only does the LHD layout hint at that, but also the front end and the roofline give off strong 1968 Ford Galaxie 500 vibes, and the quad round taillights are likely a nod to the 1968 Dodge Charger.
Unfortunately for you buddy, its already been done (by me 3 months ago) Its just been sitting on my drive waiting until I could actually release it because I am just waiting for atomix to answer which is very highly unlikely at this point I would have like to keep it a secret, but I might as well reveal it now before you actually get to make any progress
Well guys, it is official. Atomix replied and we got a positive answer. Release will be as soon as I finish the configs (sometime in the next 24 hours)
