That's not what a dead thread is. A dead thread is one that is no longer being updated by the OP. This mod hasn't been updated for a long time, therefore it is dead.

Ok, fair enough. But I thought it wasn't really dead since it works perfectly fine with newest update, I was sure someone takes care of it but apparently no. I'm still happy it works, I hope it will for a long time.

Changed the zip so it's in the new mod style. Just a drag and drop now. Made it for myself, figured someone else might be interested since the mod still works.

I know it's been a long time but can you PLEASE update this mod to 0.8? I know I'm bumping the thread but I just wanna see if there's any chance at all of you fixing this so that every time you open it it DOESNT say fatal vehicle exemption.

ffs. don't bump old threads. I absolutely adored this car, but it died, suck it up and move on. Nothing can bring it back to life, unless you do it yourself or you persuade someone to do it. But don't ask about that on the forum.

I dealt with a couple of bumps that day. I might have mildly overreacted. But look: if i removed the "ffs" on the beginning you wouldn't have noticed my vigorous tiredness of bumps, would you?

Actually over the years I have been upgrading the jbeam in tidbits. I put the latest version in the first post. No progress on the visuals, just updates to make use of new physics features.

    Shortlist:
    Converted to common wheels/pressureWheels, added:
*TIMS Egota 13x6 (White and Black) wheel with 175/60R13 Sport Tire
    *165/65R13 Standard Tire for 13x5.5 Ibishu 5RS
    *175/50R14 Sport for 14x7 wheels
    *195/50R13 Sport for 13x8 wheels
    *195/50R14 Grip-All Race for 14x8 wheels
*(the tire sizes are just guesstimates made to look good on the car)

    Converted to powertrain
    *functioning radiator, exhaust, fuel tank
*added K50 5spd, a few more differential options
*added race tune for engine (120hp! oh my)

Added brake thermals, watch out for brake fade on those front drums ;)
*Added front disc option (no mesh change but less fadey)

Revamped suspension jbeam with L-beam leaf spring design, true recirculating ball type steering geometry
*Added some adjustable damping and stuff

Minor fixes to triangulation, missing beams, etc etc

Made a "race" config. Essentially a weekend warrior config, stiffer suspension, modded engine, 5spd, the biggest tires that fit under the fenders, front brake upgrade. Starts to overheat after a few hard laps, also quite possible to kill the front brakes leading to rear bias making things tricky. The car is light and darty but a bit vague due to the mushiness of leaf springs and recirculating ball steering. It can recover from a bit of a fish tail on corner exit but going in too hot and lifting is hard to recover from.

    Thank you for the update

And one small question - when you make finish version if this beauty, can we also have correct RHD version?

You are my personal hero. I doubt there are words capable of explaining how much I thank you for your work.

Hmm, could you by any chance replace the race tune with completely different engine, not an engine tune? Thus you could set redline to 7k in sport and base models.
