I agree with Driv3r1142, but the problem is that the 1953 Burnside Special looks nowhere close to the 1951 Hudson Hornet. Need proof?

Every time you argue over what a BeamNG car looks like, an adorable Ibishu Pigeon gets run over by a Gavril T75. With a cargo box. Fully loaded.

    A question for the devs...

Is this the oldest car that you feel belongs in beamng, or will there eventually be something significantly older, like pre-war era perhaps?

100th post! It only took me two years and three months...

A 1925 Gavril Model JS would be pretty cool ;)

How about an early 1930s car with a hotrod variant? Or some kind of ersatz Jeep?

OFF-TOPIC: How'd did we go from talking about a car from the 1950s to talking about a car from the 1930s?

ON-TOPIC: I hope to see the Special crumple like a tin can. For reference, see these pictures from the IIHS 50th Anniversary crash test of the 1959 Bel Air and the 2009 Malibu.

    BEFORE:
    0003-bel_air_lg (1).jpg
    AFTER:
    0005-belair_pc_lg (1).jpg

Please note that the Bel Air in the pictures utilized a X-frame chassis. During the crash, the X-frame directly within the engine bay region failed righted at the center of the X, which allowed the crash energy to transfer along the frame members and into the occupant compartment.

The Burnside is a big, robustly built '50s luxury car, so it doesn't crumple like a tin can; it just kills its occupants with no crumple zone and a steering column through the chest. The Bluebuck will use an X-frame just like the Chevy above, though, so it'll be just as structurally inadequate :)

Don't forget that the crumple zones for cars of its age, were the driver and passenger. it has to be said though that some cars were stronger than others.

I would think the lead vehicle designer would know this... plus the cars of the time just flat out didn't have any crumple zones.

You just sparked my theory that the '53 Burnside is Christine disguised.

But hey, that's just a theory, A BEAMNG THEORY.

I see what you did there...;)

This is my most anticipated car of the game. The '49 Ford from ROR was all I ever drove. I think it is going to be the same way with the Burnside.
