120 fps but as soon as I add ai or drive fast frames drop

This is in safe mode. I get 120+ fps driving responsibly and with no ai. As soon as i drive above 100 the frames drop significantly. My frames also drop to around 15-30 when I add ai traffic. My cpu and gpu usage is almost always under 40, my ram is usually over 70. I checked the performance tab on beamng and it says my cpu and game engine are being bottlenecked

specs:
RTX 3050 ti laptop gpu
Intel core i7-12650H 4.7 ghz (10 core)
16 gigabytes of ram

 

How many AI cars are you spawning?

 

I leave it on auto

 

Oh, alright.
Have you tried changing it to something lower than auto? (Unless it doesn’t say how much auto is for you, I can’t remember).
Or maybe lowering graphics settings? For me the game also lags when I go very fast in certain places.

 

Also check of simplifyed cars are turned on

 

I have the render distance lowered I set the traffic to only 4 cars and my frames are around 50
