Hello, I work for a timing systems company that actually makes the timing systems for drag strips. I wanted to share some info that could make the drag strips in beamng 100% accurate. 1. The start like beams specifically the stage beam should be 1 5/8 inch off of the ground, this is measured at a track using a “rollout” wheel which allows you to check the beam height by rolling a 24 inch wheel through the beam and it should measure exactly 12 inches. 2. Beams down track should all be 6 inches above the track surface, accept the 60 foot beam. That beam should be 10 inches above the ground. 3. For 100% accuracy on track a guard beam is used for vehicles with staggered from wheels as well as for dirt tracks where 4wd vehicles can leave the stage beam hanging. This is something that may not be needed in game due to how the ir beams aren’t actually beams and more lines through space. These are all NHRA specifications and it would be awesome if they could be added into the game. It would also be cool if there could be settings for 60 foot races as well as changing tree speed and type rather than having just the full tree and pro tree. --- Post updated --- If anyone has a mod to change race modes that would be awesome
