Please note I have absolutely zero idea what I'm doing once its out of blender, I'm completely going off of tutorials on the forums and some of my friends. Lore: In the late 90s, Gavril needed a replacement from their aging medium duty line of trucks. A new truck was designed under the codename: “Brown-Bear” The truck would be fully released in 2002 under the Gavril name. The truck had two engine options, the 7.8 High Output v8, and the 6.8 Turbo Diesel. The codename comes from the Kodiak brown bear, being heavily based off of the Chevy Kodiak. What's planned: Crew Cab and Single Cab Variants, Tractor Frame, Dump Bed, Tow Truck, Box Truck, Flatbed, Utility Bed, and a Pickup Bed borrowed from Gavril’s full sized pickup. What's Done: Crew Cab Model, Some Textures, Interior (totally not stolen from the H-Series) Badge textures (it takes longer than you think), Pickup Bed Model Textures What Needs to be Done: Grille, Grille Badges, Engine bay/Engine Model, Some smaller textures Proper Scaling (i'll have to put it in-game first) Windshield Trim (I have no clue why it isn't on the model) Lots more Photos: (badges) I've reverted my decision to make this paid. It will never be paid. Hopefully I will be able to upgrade the model so if you would like to donate to me just shoot me a DM. This will 100% have a garbage jbeam, I'm not promising anything good. Yes the model is terrible, I know, as I stated before later on I will be upgrading some parts of the model for a much better one. Yes it probably will be a meshslap for a short period of time, I know.
"Yes it will be paid." "Yes it will be terrible and garbage." Bruh nobody will ever buy it if that's the case, make up your mind, either make it as good as you can or free
dude, its not even going to be paid for a lot of money and its only going to be that way for a few weeks. i’m making it as good as I can but I barely have any experience modding for beamng, which is why I said its not going to be very good.
If you don't have experience then don't make it paid, simple as that. A paid mod should meet a certain level of quality. Doesn't really matter if it will be paid for a few weeks or forever. Otherwise people will consider it a scam.
Please don't make the mistake of starting with an entire car. Start with something smaller like a spoiler or a bumper for another car just so you get the ropes of modding. Starting with an entire car is exactly how you abandon a few days later
I’ve made a good few small mods like engines and some parts for the d-series, I know blender which so far has helped a lot. The only thing that will be difficult is jbeaming it and getting the parts to work properly. I should have clarified what I meant by first mod, this is my first big mod, it might not be amazing, but its a start.
Jbeaming is pretty tough to go after, Once you reach the experience, you can get good I made small mods like skins and props like simple cubes and stuff and it should be the perfect way to start small then to start big.
I’d also like to say that this mod would conflict greatly with the Gavril Durham mod’s lore. It’s model years run from 1987-2006, and the creator already has plans for a next generation version that would be VERY similar to how this mod would likely turn out. If you decide to go ahead with this no hard feelings, I was just letting you know.
I mean alright but, It's like selling rotten food to someone. You only sell something if it's worth it lol.
maybe in order not to conflict with the durham it could be a 2006 d55, because it already has an older one, which, I don't know about others, but I wanted to see a facelift of it
the model is kinda bad (eventually I will redo it with a better model, I’m currently using a free one because I'm low on funds currently ) --- Post updated --- well, the durham isn’t official lore and it doesn’t have to align with it. If it needed to align with it you could do a tactic GM has done since the 80s and sell your new model along with the old model, the older model being a cheaper alternative
