    Keep in mind: this is the very first version - don't expect perfection!

    This mod is a port of my FiveM script that adds a new camera mode called "nu-orbit" to BeamNG.drive, which feels and behaves very close to a very popular video-game about stealing cars.

    You can rotate the camera around by holding the Right Mouse Button or using your right stick (as usual!) or change the distance using your usual keybinds

    Known issues:
    • Some vehicles are very off-center
    • Customizing various variables is not possible yet (you can edit the script thought!)

    Camera keeps resetting every second on certain actions like continuous drifting on Ibishu BX. This happens in action without moving the camera manually so thats clearly not intended. Please fix this, otherwise this is the best camera mod so far

    i really do like this camera, and will be using it a lot in future, i just feel like the distance/fov doesnt really adjust enough depending on vehicle size? with a larger vehicle like the etk1300 it's perfectly placed in the screen, but with a small car like a 200bx the camera feels too far away and with bigger trucks the camera is completely lost in the vehicle. i understand this is wip, and im sure youll be changing things in future, just wanted to add my two cents

      yeah there's no car size detection just yet, you can always manually zoom out but i know that's not ideal

      im still learning how this game works lol

    It would be a 5 star but right now for some reason the camera constantly resets to the center no matter if I am driving or not, if that could get fixed I would be using this as my main camera rn I like how less floaty it feels compared to the vanilla one

      interesting - you might have a loose binding that hits the reset button

      unless you mean the camera always returning to the back of the car, that's intentional
