its a great mod, but the raindrops are just too basic. They dont feel interactive and there are too few of them, its not enough

Whoever did the Fog setting so realistic i really love it. The heavy storm lightning thing is kinda too extreme like it just flash bangs you but its fine (maybe add a setting to reduce the flashbang or remove it entirely?) anyway this is an updated review so yeah im happy :)

The weather is nice and the wet roads look amazing. The ui is easy to use too

a very good mod especially with the new graphics but the only thing missing is the raindrops actually interacting with the car making it wet but thats probably not possible yet

Best Wolf GuyVersion: 2.0- 4/5,
I know i had this earlier when it released first and it worked fine. Now the app dosent show anymore in the ui Apps. Even after trying alot of times with restarting game etc. Maybe there is something wrong in the files? Could you check if you missed something by any chance.

Author's ResponseThanks for the heads up, it was a files issue. When I zipped up 2.0 it saved the folder paths in a way the game couldn't read, so the app just didn't show in UI Apps for anyone downloading it. Worked fine for me since I run it unpacked, so I missed it completely. It's fixed now and the update is uploading, should be approved by tomorrow. Once it's live, remove the mod and add it back and the Dynamic Weather app will be there again. Thanks again for actually reporting it, big help.

Z_M71Version: 1.1- 1/5,
Great mod, but I’d really love to see more customization options for the weather system. Right now it mostly feels like presets, but it would be amazing if you could fine-tune everything yourself—like setting weather speed, time, and individual intensity for things like fog, rain, thunder, cloudy, clear, and overcast conditions. Being able to adjust how much of each weather type appears would make it way more dynamic and realistic. This kind of control would take the system to the next level.
I’d also really like to see these options added directly into the in-game weather menu instead of relying on a separate GUI all the time, since that would make it feel more immersive.
On top of that, I’m running into some issues/bugs: fog seems to stick around even when switching to rain or clear weather, and “clear” weather doesn’t properly reset the fog. When changing away from fog, nothing really seems to happen and the haze stays in place. The weather often gets stuck in fog and won’t return to normal clear conditions even when selecting other options. In general, several weather settings don’t appear to respond correctly. It feels like the mod sometimes fails to reset fog parameters when switching states.
It would be great if these issues could be looked into, since they make the system feel a bit inconsistent right now.-
Author's ResponseThanks for the feedback. Now that the 2.0 update is live, I wanted to reply and go through your points properly.
The main thing you asked for was more customization, and that is exactly what 2.0 focuses on. There is now a full custom builder where you set rain, fog, cloud, thunder and wind to whatever levels you want, with the weather updating live as you adjust it. Alongside that there is real wind that pushes the car, a time of day control, a forecast frequency mix so you can decide how often each type of weather appears, weather sound, and heavier storms. If fine control was what you were after, it's all there now.
On adding the options into the regular weather menu, I did look into it, and it is not something a mod is able to do. BeamNG's built in weather controls are part of the core game interface, which mods cannot extend. The supported way for a mod to add its own controls is the UI Apps system, which is what this uses, and for 2.0 I rebuilt the panel to match the game's own style so it feels native rather than separate.
No hard feelings on the original rating. The update is out and I think it addresses most of what you raised, so if you get a chance to try it again I would be glad to hear how you find it. If you run into any issues or have requests, the Discussion tab is the best place to reach me. I can track and respond to things there more easily than in reviews.
