    Based on the numerous VW based open-wheel buggies found in various desert racing series, this is a space frame open-wheeled buggy using the Autobello's drive train and suspension, with some tweaks to make it better at going through the desert at high speeds.

    Since it uses mostly original Autobello suspension, this mean you can also use the road oriented suspension to create some pretty fun road going variants.

    Features:
    Drivetrain:
    -Autobello 1300 and 1500cc engines, with all the vanilla modification options.
    -Modified stage 2 internals, to allow running them with 20psi of boost.
    -Autobello 4 and 5 speed manual transmissions, along with an added 5 speed sequential gearbox.

    Suspension:
    -Off-road suspension from the Autobello with modified coil-overs to allow for more suspension travel and less harsh bump stops.
    -Road suspension converted to 5-stud to allow the use of off-road tires and larger wheels.
    -Longer wheelbase for increased stability

    Other:
    -Functional front and rear lights
    -Interior with vanilla animated parts, GPS and functional digidash
    -Skinable body with template in the car's files

    hey! Love the mod and its absolutely amazing but if you ever update it could you add wings? (fornt and rear) I think the track variant would be much better with them

      Yes, it did get renamed to something that's a bit more of a name, instead of just what it is (It was called the autobello buggy)

      Dunehopper is also inspired by a fairly popular Tamiya RC buggy, the grass hopper.

      Are you running the latest version (and have you cleared cache?)

      Issue should be fixed in the latest version. If it isn't I'll have to investigate what is happening...

    Insane fun! I came with some problems for me though.

    It shouldn't be allowed to make the car this fun. I thought it was gonna be just another car that handles like the autobello but looks like a baja but nope. Due to the modified track and width this thing handles unique, truly like a Baja dune buggy but with the power of an autobello (and a bit less weight).

    Honestly i think these cars are AMAZING to rally and even the slow ones are a beast to drift around since they are so stable.

    Wish the asphalt versions had more aero goodies, instead of being essentially tesla's cybertrucks wedges.

      Yeah...Just found out the material was duplicated in the materials JSON file.

      It loaded the right one before, but seems like it's loading the incorrect one now.

      Gives me an excuse to fix the minor things I had on my todo list.
