Beta Tom's Goatbuilt Ibex Buggy 1.2

This is an amazing crawler, I've been having trouble finding this style of crawler that isn't behind a paid patreon subscription. The fact it has rear steering is even more amazing. As mentioned the 4WS modes don't seem to do anything, but I have my own setup that is a bit tedious.

For anyone else trying to use this, I have bound my right stick horizontal to the rear steering, but still wanted camera control. So I downloaded an app called AntiMicro, which allows you to assign keyboard binds to your controller. I have A and Y on my controller set to modifiers, so I bound the Y button to L ALT (which is the keyboard equivalent modifier) and set it to toggle. Now ingame I can bind rear steer to L ALT + Y button, and just press Y to switch between my right stick controlling the steering or the horizontal camera movement.

It's literally the best crawler I've used/built up. It looks cool, the configurations and little add-on details like the cooler and stuff in the back are great. The LS is exactly what somebody would put in something like this. It's really, really great.

That said, I can't for the life of me get rear steer to work simultaneously with the steering on the front, which is weird because I definitely remember it working in the past. I'm guessing a game update broke it? I use a PS controller and having to steer the front with the stick and the rear with keyboard is...I've tried the stuff other people have commented, I think, even if they were less than helpful and insulting. I see it hasn't been updated for a few years so I get it if it's just not gonna be worked on again, but I'd like to get it working for myself if I could.

Also; It needs a snorkel lol. The bigger I build it, the bigger the obstacles I can mount, but on a trail it can definitely complete, nose down in the drink sinks the ship. Even just some pvc pipes, corners, and a duct tape bodge job to get the intake above the hood line would be killer.

Also, turns out you're the same modder that makes the other best mod I've ever used in the 2025 KOH car. Absolutely killing it man, thanks for all the hard work.

Love the mod! honestly one of the best performing crawlers in my build collection! Could use a few changes/fixes. The fuel tank has a weird flex when under shock (jump landing) and the lsx engine model could use some added customization, and a model update/overhaul. Also the dash/interior could use a revamp. And the rear steer doesn't work. (Modes, toggle) The "Universal Monsta Frame" could have the code/basis for the steering! Thanks

while driving, if you look at the front of the car it sounds like its gopro audio ☺

Update, figured out the issue with rear steer and wow this is a great mod, really is awesome as in it matched my favorite crawler (Jack Lumba/Hogg's old mod) in flex. In fact it's the only crawler in the game, that you have to be careful of getting a tire stuck it'll torque over with the 1.6L 4 cylinder without the sway bars (my preferred crawler setup. I can't say it tops my old favorite, but i can say it delivers everything you'd want in a competent crawler. Crawler is tied for the best crawler on Crawl Central

I'm going to rate it 3 stars because I don't know if the problem is the mod, or me. All the buggy's don't have front steering, only the rear steer works. Anyone know how to fix this?
