Experimental THR Type 01-16 1.0

THR is Thomas Headquarter of Research founded in 1953. THR deals with research and technology development for Thomas Automobiles Co. Work like a small manufacutre to building concept cars, studiums etc. Everything to build better, faster and safer cars from Thomas brand. Also sometimes THR build really short series of concept cars for market. They are really rare cars beacouse THR build no more as 2-3 cars or versions of one type of body. What is more unique, in one body type You can find totaly different solutions.
Forst car for market from THR was Type 01-16. Very modern coupe car equiped with V16 engine placed depending on version rear, middle or in fornt but always with rear drive. With model Type 01-16 THR look for best balance betweeen power, weight and type of suspension.
The results obtained were used in subsequent Thomas cars like Trako, Bonan or Almaz.
Type 01-16 was offered in 3 variants. First Type 01 SC16 appeared in 1955 with rear engine type. Then came in 1960 middle engine variant MiD Type 01/16 with more powerful engine and at the end in 1962 front engine model named FR-Type 01/16.

THR recomended to drive with lock diff, car is less responsible but more stable. Esspecially on high speed, but anyway Type01 SC16 and MiD Type 01/16 can be really dangerous if speed is over 1280 km/h.
Cheapest version FR-Type 01/16 with front engine is most stable variant of this concept, recomended for less experienced drivers. Is stable even over 200km/h.
