Thomas Trako III 1.0

3rd generation of Thomas sport/race car

  1. Thombike
Exactly 10 year after 2ng generation of Trako came successor, 3rd generation with some new technologies and new philosophy.
First big change was two base types. Cheapest 140TS has iL4 cylinder motor from BlueBox engines family, known earlier from model Almaz II - https://www.beamng.com/resources/thomas-almaz-ii.9754/
ofcourse proper car take a proper engine. Engine from a family sedan for base Trako has undergone many modifications.
Next in variants line was 145TS. this time base engine was iL6 2.8.also frm BlueBox family, so it was a little old but checked technology.
175TSR have same engine as base TS variant, but really sporty modified. This type has some other new technologies under the body. One of the biggest was a special differential, automatic as in others, but combined trought electric connections with suspension. In effect that gives lot of grip, also agility and corner efficacy. What is more important that driver can use full throttle on the exit from the bend without fear, that rear axle lose the grip completly. New system works really fast, mostly reducing slides nf help to find proper grip. We can take it as forst Traction Control system from Thomas. And that's all in 1965!
Top of the mountain was 200TR variant. With completly new V6 engine builded only fr this one model. This wariant has perrmision to regular streets but his natural enviroment was race track. You must give a try. And You must to hear it! Sound really like proper race car from 60's should sounds!
New philosophy You can see in size too.
New trako was longer, wider but from outside looks not so big as it is. But more important, with his measurement (much bigger as 2nd gen.) was lighter! That's why with 3rd. generation came one more new thing - a cabrio, named 145CTS, based on base 6cyl. variant. Of course cabrio variant vas less sporty and more comfortable and prestigious.

    Enkoy!
