Incredible mod, thanks for sharing this with us! One thing I noticed is that you may have to reload the terrain with CTRL + L, not just only the vehicle with CTRL + R. You might would like to include this in the instructions :)

In short; amazing stuff, keep it up!

This is amazing. Terrain deformation is the one feature I've wanted since release. I hope the devs have contacted you to help optimize and implement this feature officially!

I think this mods need to be improve a lot to became a real functionality in the game. This mod can add so more posibility to truck driving like in snowrunner. This is absolute peak! Also peaple will never see beamng at just a crash simulator.

Great idea, but flickering and lagging made playing the game unsatisfying, so I uninstalled the mod :(

Although the terrain deformation feels a bit clunky and lacks fluidity, and elements like grass temporarily disappear whenever the deformation is updated, this mod is revolutionary enough to transform the game.

this is amazing, i understand that there are a few thing wrong with it but its super cool. two things that i request is a reset button to reset the terrain and the terrain can adapt to the tire, because on the pigeon, the terrain looks a little silly and wide for the tires.

peak mod, only thing is the deformation is kinda "laggy", not sure if its my fps getting in the way but terrain deforms later than i expect even when im not even moving. not expecting anything since its new.

The terrain moving when your not moving should never happen try using the sliders in the tire settings page and raise the slip threshold.

love this mod, only issue im having is the lag while driving you can feel it speed up and slow down along with the grass constantly flickering

      Author's Response
The grass flickering is the game itself cant help that at all. Sorry. The lag is also the game its reloading collisions which has to happen, I havent noticed it lag at alll that much when using it tho so im not sure really unless your pc is older than mine. But i will look into it.

this mod is broken, i installed it in the repo, latest version, went to derby arena, click initialize terrain and press ctrl + r and when i drive, nothing happens. use the ui the initialize it, doesn't work. fix this mod please

Noone else has had these issues at least noone in the reviews so something is either wrong with your game or you just didn't notice the changes. Did you even try to use the bucket loader or only the tire deformation>

This is by far the best mod I've seen for terrain deformation.

However one thing I have noticed, or maybe purely coincidence, but it's also been deforming the terrain on the road any chance of that getting fixed, if it's a known issue?

But otherwise great mod, I cannot complain.

Very interesting, needs a ui element to control the functionality really bad though. Beam simply has too many controls already, trying to find bindings that don't overlap is rough. A UI app with toggles would be way more user friendly.

You don't need to make it pretty, just usable.

The next update has a ui you can find it in the discord thread in the beamng discord mod showcase threads. I always post the latest updates there while waiting for them to get approved.

Super cool stuff, and likely among the best you can do with the terrain features BeamNG's API has. Very well done!

Thank you. ❤️ Everyone has there own opinion. I just wish that the tools used weren't on review but the actual product itself. Which is also still kinda dookie but ehh
