Thank you so much for all the effort you put into this. It really blows other maps away and shows off the game's potential. The scope and attention to detail really amazes me.

Yes that's a 0.9 bug with my models, that didn't pop up before.
They're part of the forest brush, thankfully they're the only thing that got messed with on size.
There's some notextures on the house porches on a few models, but other than that, it should be good to go (a few spawns may not work as intended).
I have a new version coming up within the next week or so, that got delayed by the new version update. Look for it and the signs will be fixed, new content will be added, but multiple-spawn-point feature is removed due to the trouble it caused (it may or may not return at a later date).
I will see everyone about a week from now, maybe things will be better with the update. The update is 1.72GB uncompressed :x Hope ya'all have unlimited internet. --Thanks for the update, but I've got it covered now.

Absolutely Amazing! It's officially one of the most detailed and we'll constructed maps on BeamNG.Drive. It's nice to see a fully detailed country map for roll playing.

Thanks a bunch, It's been a labor of love here. It's fun to just drive sometimes, and for that, as much as I enjoy doing it, this map is definitely good for such (and I made sure of it). If you have any requests, please stop by the discussion thread. Next version will have: A dozen or more miles of main roadways (estimated), a few miles more residential sideroads too. There will be some dirt area with mounds to jump about on where one day a lap circut might be. Lots of jumps are being worked into the next version, including a jump both ways clean across the Emory river just outside of Harriman. Speaking of Harriman, I've gotten over half the town finished off. Slowly, but surely, it's getting there. Next month should see an update.
      --Cheers until then!

no shadows and some fog keeps me at a steady 67-79fps with 4 cars excellent map for chases hands down! dedication is what makes a great map down to the tiny details of the road/highway system. without the fog i am at 48-56fps with 4 cars... still awesome.. cant wait for an update.. please try to blow up my PC! you work is great!

Well glad to hear you have good performance on it, and that you enjoy the map! 4 vehicles with 16gb or more of RAM in your system (in addition to have a pagefile enabled, also called 'virtual memory'), should leave you with a fun time for quite a bit. Careful with 6~8 vehicles or more (watch ram usage) as RAM use can go through the ceiling on such a large map quite quickly! Shadows, Reflection, and draw-distance play an equally large part in hitting your FPS, as shadows are also done on the CPU. You'll most likely quite enjoy next month's planned update, currently working on Harriman area. I've already added over a dozen more miles of roads, too - possibly almost two-dozen. See you then and thanks for writing in!

I can tell you've put a ton of effort and work into this map. It's very detailed from what I can tell, and it features miles upon miles of great cruising and driving roads. I've spent a few hours on this map and I still probably haven't seen 50% of the roads on it. One recommendation, I would like to see properly textured roads, because from what it looks like you're using mesh roads, which don't have any imperfections and gives the impression that you're driving on a track. Overall, this is an excellent mod, and I can't wait to see the coming updates!
    1. bob.blunderton
      Author's Response
I can assure you there are *no* mesh roads (except the bridge surfaces).
This map is about speed, so naturally the roads are very forgiving.
This is also why if you slide off a road just a few feet you're often okay.
Currently up to Beamng.drive 0.8.x the map only supports single terrain with collision. The land you drive on to which roads are applied (well decal roads anyways), is the terrain (if you didn't know). When in the future, if we get tiled terrain support (it's been brought up but short of being 'promised') you can and surely will have your wish as I already have higher-res stuff ready to go the second the engine supports it! It won't be but a week or two to implement that (at a few hours a day, less if I sit here all day with my back locked up). So basically what I mentioned about the terrain, it sacrifices those little imperfections for pure mileage; and what it does in that respect as you mentioned, it does well. You will be happy to know that when the side-streets are furnished (with homes, driveways, trees etc) in the next update they will be somewhat less forgiving to speeders (see my discussion thread for progress). My other two maps have (some) less smoothed roadways if you must have them, they're there on the left side of this screen.
Thank-you for writing in with your praise and constructive criticism, it always helps. --Cheers!

Spent 2 straight hours driving around, and ended up unintentionally looping back to where I spawned. Well optimized, at least on low/lowest overall quality. Only thing I wish it had was more varied road textures so that I can make full use of my FFB wheel while riding, but it isnt that important.... well, other than grass and roads feeling nearly the same.
    1. bob.blunderton
      Author's Response
2 Hours driving around: Yes, this map's definitely good for that! You could drive 60mph for over two hours and not see all the roads here to be seen and not generally drive the same road twice (aside of using them to get to another roadway). The landscape (for now*) feels like grass where it's not a median strip, but on some median strips, it's grass-textured but not grass traction due to low landscape detail resolution (as a direct result of this maps size). *When we get tiled terrain (an expected feature with the finished-game feature list as per the dev's feature outline), this will be fixed, and this terrain detail 'resolution' will be increased four-fold. I already have terrain stuffs ready to go and have purchased commercial software to handle this. Let's just say this is a side-effect of just how monstrous this map is (it was originally only a concept to test the game-engine). I am picking this back up to put work into the next update, so there will be even more roads to drive, a whole bunch more jumps, and more places will be furnished and looking completed (and a few bugs fixed, like the ones with a few of the spawns).
      --Thanks for writing in, Cheers!

Feel free to make some videos, and post screenshots in the discussion forum for this (check the tabs at the top of this page, for discussion), of the AI acting stupid. Sometimes it just does this. It may not work 100% with the lane-split feature (you should leave that off for right now for this map or it could make them 'stuck' in places like off/on ramps, the mountainous portion of the highway, or any other roads specifically narrow like corner-cutting right-turn lanes such as the ones at Pine Ridge Rd and Ruritan Rd intersections). Do post some pics on the discussion forum as stated about the AI not acting proper, please include your user interface in the screenshots with the AI control showing, so I can match these tests here too, and fix the error if it's my fault. --Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed the map!

Turn down or off 'Reflections' for mirrors for a BIG boost in FPS (if it's not already off), and turn down/off shadows, if possible. These both have been reported to give big FPS boosts for many users, especially mid-range VGA cards (GPU's). This is a monster of a map, even for a decent PC. It's strains both the PC and the Beamng.drive game engine (and hence is also a great stability test for your PC hardware!). Feel free to post your config on my discussions forum where (and here also) it's okay to post your PC config and brag (or not) about your PC for the purposes of feedback, so I can get a better handle of the demographic of folk's hardware that choose to play this map :) --Thanks

Danke! I try to not disappoint folks with the massive undertaking that is this map. It doesn't arrive with much fanfare aside of promises to push your PC to the limits trying to do what hasn't quite been done before. If you dream, you can do, with this game. Thanks for the feedback and look for updates in the future to improve the detail and completion of this map.
