Soliad Wendover Sport SE 6200 V8 1.0

Soliad wanted a limited edition model for the 1994 model year much like the famous Wendover 4000R, and was fortunately greenlit by Bruckell to produce a model that paid homage to the famous Moonhawk V8 Special. They called it the 'Sport SE 6200 V8', and slated exactly 6200 of them to be produced over a two-year period. No more, no less. How fitting.

Drivetrain-Wise, the 6200 was a near-perfect replica of the original V8 Special. It had a four-speed manual transmission with ratios ripped from the original four-speed, a 3.08 diff, heck, even the flywheel weighed as much as the original. And they had a paint job that had the exact colors of the original to boot.

The main drawbacks of course were the obvious fact that the Wendover was still front wheel drive and that it didn't have a supercharger. Soliad wanted to install a supercharger, but the size of the engine and the engine bay's dimensions wouldn't allow one big enough to make a difference.

They compensated for the lack of a supercharger by installing better internals that allowed it to make 296 horsepower, just 2HP shy of the original 298. This also allowed it to rev higher, which allowed for a top speed of around 157MPH as opposed to 120. And much to the surprise of everyone buying these, it retained a Four Barrel Carburator. Pretty cool, right?

Overall, the 6200 was a big hit both with young enthusiasts just getting into the game and grandpa's excited to relive their youth in a modern way. It sold well and ended production just a couple of weeks shy of the end of the Wendover.

These days, 6200's in good condition can sell for upwards of 50000 bucks. The reason being that over 70% of them have been reportedly wrecked, scrapped, turned into race cars, drag pigs, and half of the remaining 20% or so belong to car collectors, old couples, or have been forgotten in barns and junkyards. It truly is sad for a car that is meant to be driven.

And now, of course, you get the chance to drive one. Whether that be you buying it from someone, getting it as a gift from your grandparents, or having just restored it, you get to drive a well and true Soliad Wendover Sport SE 6200 V8. Treat it well.

This is my second mod for BeamNG. HOWEVER! I do NOT take credit for the Moonhawk V8 swap. Credits for the V8 itself go to u/TIo_do_Sultan. I will list the things that are added with this mod, and I will say which is mine and which is not.

Without further ado, here is what this mod adds.

    - Transversally Mounted 6.2L V8 Engine
u/TIo_do_Sultan's work. He never said if I could upload the mod to the repo, nor did he say he was uploading it himself. So I just uploaded it since it is such a cool mod.

    - 6.2 Liter V8 Sport Rev Limiter
    Me. A 6000RPM Limiter for the 6.2 Liter V8.

    - High Performance Drag Radiator
Me. This is just here in case you don't have a radiator mod and want a 1600HP BEAST.

    - 1 Config
    Me.

    - 4 Speed Manual Transmission 6200
Me. Uses the same gear ratio's as the Moonhawl V8 Special.

    - Flywheel 6200
Me. Flywheel that weighs the same as the Moonhawk's flywheel.

    - 3.08:1 Front Final Drive
    Me. Nuff Said.

Yeah, that's really it. It's pretty much another engine swap mod, but this time the swap makes sense. Feel free to let me know of any bugs you might encounter, and how much you like the mod.

Also I'm just gonna leave this link here. Have fun. I promise it's not a joke, I just find it cute.
