Did you prefer the old, raspier sound of the Hirochi SBR4 from before the mid-2019 update? Well, this mod has you covered.

This mod restores the older sound files back to your SBR4. Best part is, it can be used alongside the current sounds and all you need to do is swap engines in the parts configurator! (ctrl+w)

To use the mod, simply download/subscribe to it, spawn any SBR4, and under "Engine," select "2.5L F4 Engine B4S." (The B4S stands for Boxster 4 Sport Sounds.)

Thanks for viewing, and have fun!

    IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ:

-This mod is no longer in beta as no bugs were reported recently. If you run into an issue, please report it.
-This mod uses a .jbeam engine file to override the current sounds and use the older ones that still exist in the game files. If those sound files are removed from the game in a future update, this mod will no longer function. I can not control this, because those sound files are protected by a password due to the license BeamNG purchased from Sonory's engine sounds (edit: wow, now even their site is password locked.)
-This mod may cause incompatibilities with other SBR4 Engine mods.
-This mod only works with the 2.5L F4 engine. If you wish to use the 2.0L F4 engine, this mod will not function.
-This mod does not take advantage of the features of BeamNG introduced to the SBR4's sounds after mid-2019, including louder sounds when your exhaust system breaks. Breaking the exhaust will not produce any sound change when this engine is applied. However, this should not affect the other default engines with regard to this.
-This mod uses BeamNG's default .jbeam file and adds to it. I AM IN NO WAY ATTEMPTING TO CLAIM BEAMNG'S ORIGINAL CODE AS MY OWN. BeamNG has all rights to their code, and this is simply a customized variant of it.

This mod is great. How about an old ETKI sound? And please use the phrase "password protected", use "restricted" instead.

      Author's Response
Unfortunately the old Inline 6 sounds are nowhere to be found in the game files so they can't be restored. Also I'm not sure what the second part of your comment is talking about.
