Alpha Rennspecht KR 16c 1.21

Adds a W16 engine and aero parts to the K-Series. One of the fastest cars in the game - period

Heard of a twin turbo V8?

How about a twin V8 turbo?

Well, this is exactly what this mod brings – a 16-cylinder engine, which is a pair of V8s arranged in a side-by-side “W” configuration for the ETK K-Series. Drive it in comfort mode to experience smooth and clean acceleration, or turn off TCS to unleash a drifting beast. Or a huge repair bill.

    Mod contents:

    - An 8.8 Liter W16 engine

    - 3 Intakes (One naturally aspirated, and two turbocharged intakes of different pressure outputs)

    - Bodywork (stylized hood, extended splitter and large lip spoiler)

    - A very much needed W16 radiator

    - A very much needed W16 engine block

    - Three unique configurations

    Configurations:

    KR GT 16c

“Common” 16c model meant for comfort, featuring a naturally aspirated intake and a basic Rennspecht ECU that can rev up to 6500 RPM. Despite this, the W16 engine is still able to single-handedly propel it from 0 to 60 MPH with supercar-like swiftness. Comes standard with a leather and chrome interior.

    KR 16c Turbolader

Rarer version of the 16c. While the design elements are essentially the same, it’s a whole different car on the inside. Its 7500 RPM turbocharged W16 is capable of blasting this vehicle from 0 – 60 MPH in well under 2 seconds, given a prepared surface. Comes standard with racing brakes and an Alcantara interior, but can be bought in leather.

    Centaurus 16c

The tuning company Centaurus modified a 16c, tuned up the stock turbocharged intake, and yet again created one of the most powerful road cars to ever exist, as it easily achieves a 0-60 time of well under 1.5 seconds (yes really) on a prepped surface (TCS is advised). As for the top speed, I’ll leave that up to you to discover…

To achieve optimal 0-60 times in these cars, is is advised that you are on a prepared surface (such as the WCUSA drag strip) while launching.

    Lore

In 2017, a few years after its initial launch, the ETK K-Series had firmly established itself as a standout in the automotive world. Praised across numerous automotive magazines, it garnered acclaim for its remarkable performance, captivating styling, and, most notably, its powerful V8 engines featured in select models. However, ETK quickly realized that competitors had begun using massive V12 engines in their flagship grand tourers, which was a gigantic selling point over their own Rennspecht KR. They knew that something must be done in order to remain a staple in the ultraluxury market, so they decided that the best way to go about it would be to introduce a new engine option to the K-Series. However, during this period, ETK had been quite an experimental company, so the lead designer wasn’t going to be so quick to settle for just a “standard” V12 option – there was more that could be done. Since ETK was already mass-producing V8 engines under the ttSport and Rennspecht division, it wasn’t difficult for them to start a new line of narrow ones, which is exactly what they did – except they were building two per car, then combining them onto a singular platform to create a 16-cylinder behemoth. This engine first made a standalone appearance in the 2017 Belasco Auto Show, being displayed as a conceptual ttSport build. After receiving a positive reaction from the public, production of this engine was initiated. They were placed in a special edition of the Rennspecht KR called the 16c, featuring two options: The GT, which was naturally aspirated and intended for comfort, and theTurbolader which was a turbocharged variant with sportier features. Just two hours after ETK launched the preorder program, all units sold out, with customers paying a base of $350,000 for the GT and $450,000 for the Turbolader, which have now appreciated to even greater values. Production was stopped a mere 150 units, making this novelty of a car a true unicorn in the automotive world.

    4/5,
    Version: 1.1
It, er, overwrites the "etkc_spoiler.jbeam" already in the etkc folder, so none of the other etkc-specific spoilers are selectable or appear on their respectable configs. Good mod anyway!

Sorry to break it for you, but this is not what a W engine layout looks like, lol.

Also, hoods and lips could use some edge split, but apart from that, it is fine.

      Thanks for the feedback.

I've submitted an update containing a revised engine model with a more accurate layout and angle (see diagram above), which is now more congruent with those seen in modern Bugattis. In fact, it's pretty much the same idea now.
