Philippine License Plates (1950-1980) 1.0

Almost every single plate from the Philippines from 1950 to 1980

  1. Lemonke
This mod contains 157 variants of Philippine plates between 1950-1980. These were all done from scratch by me with online license plate databases and old archive photos used for reference.

The plates are separated by 3 series: the 1933 series, 1970 series, and the 1974 series.

    1933 SERIES
    -------------------------
The 1933 series comprise of 3-4 random numbers with the year stamp on the lower right side of the plate alongside the country's name in English (but you could also get area-specific plates as well which had the city or province name instead). These plates always changed the paint scheme every year which gave some plates a unique appearance.

    1961 update
The 1961 update for the 1933 series included a new classification system which had a letter placed next to the now 4-5 numbers, some classes were color coded (i.e. 1966 standard plates were white but the taxi plates were yellow). There were many more classifications but I narrowed it down to ones that fit BeamNG cars the best, including modded cars. The classification system is as follows:

    - B for bantam cars. Includes subcompacts, very small European cars and Japanese kei cars. It is named after the American Bantams which were a common sight on Manila's roads in the 1930s.
    - H for heavy cars. Includes full-size cars, muscle cars and limousines.
    - L for light cars. Includes compact cars and sports cars.
    - M for medium cars. Includes midsize cars.
    - RP for Government owned cars.
    - S for service vehicles. Specialized for hire and company vehicles.
    - T for trucks. Includes pickups and SUVs.
    - TC for cargo trucks.
    - TH for heavy trucks.
    - TX for taxis.
    - U for rental cars.

    1970 SERIES
    -------------------------
The 1970 series are similar to the Japanese plates with a 4 number format. This time the classification system was now on the lower left side of the license plate next to the country name in English (with the 1970 plates as an exception). Like with the 1933 series, the plate colors changed every year.

    1974 SERIES
    -------------------------
The colors for the plates between 1974-1976 was red on white. The 1974 series follow the same format on the lower part as the 1970 series but receive a new numbering system which had a total of 6 variations:

    - LL DDD
    - LD DDD
    - DL DDD
    - DDD LL
    - DDD LD
    - DDD DL

    (L - letter, D - number)

    1977 update
The 1977 update gave the plates a green on white paint scheme and had the country name in Filipino. This was also when the area-specific plates were phased-out. TC and TH plates make their appearance here to be period correct for the Gavril T-Series.

    1980 update
The last update for the 1974 series was in 1980 where the paint scheme was changed to light blue on white. This year also included the addition of the "Tourist Bus" license plate.

Here's what the plates looks like:
