Most Wanted Mission 0.2.9

With this mod you can enjoy car chases from heat level 1 to heat level 6.

    • This MOD is available from the Map in Freeroam mode. (NOT Scenarios)
    • If the mission is not shown, please reload the Lua and UI (Ctrl + L, then F5)
    • The mission category is "Evade (Most Wanted Mission)".



    Overview:
    I added a little flavor to the original Evade mission. You can enjoy heat level 1-6 car chases. UI of this mod is respect to 'Need For Speed Most Wanted'(2005).

    Features:
    The only condition to clear the mission is to escape from the police car. It's easy to escape, but it's difficult to get a high score.

    Repair:
    During missions, you can repair your vehicle by two ways.
    1. Entering a gas station.

    2. CRASH BREAKER (by pressing repair key)
    Before you use it, you should charge the gauge. The gauge is charged by risky driving: Drifiting, Speeding and Wrong way driving. If you take risks, you can get the reward.

    Options:
    There are 3 options in this mission.
    • Start Heat Level (1~6)
    • Max Heat Level (1~6)
    • Use Simple Police (on/off)
    • Traffic (on/off)
    • Random Start Position (on/off)
    note: heat level 6 vehicles is insane

    note: If you enable "Use Simple Police", only the vehicles listed below will appear, but you can expect lower CPU load and higher FPS.

    Performance notice:
    • Loading time and memory usage increase as the heat level range increases.
    • The higher the maximum heat level, the higher the CPU usage. Lower the FPS, the dumber the AI becomes.



    Experimental features:
    UI of this mod is also available in Freeroam mode. UI names are as follows.
    • UI for most wanted mission
      • Main UI
    • Navigation UI Mod for Most Wanted Mission
      • minimap with flashing police cars

    When using in Freeroam mode, check [Options] -> [GAMEPLAY] -> [Show traffic vehicles on UI map], otherwise police vehicles will not be displayed.

    If you want to see your RAP SHEET, click the gear mark on the upper left of the "UI for most wanted mission". (If it doesn't respond, press F5 to reload the UI.)

    Known issue:
    • Sometimes the simulation stops at the start of a mission. Press the pause/unpause button or restart the mission.

      The version 0.2.8 is not compatible with BeamNG.drive v0.38. The fix has already been completed, but due to the holiday season, the MOD approval process has not yet been completed.
      Please download the version 0.2.9 and use it instead.

      Thank you for reporting the bug! I'm also experiencing a bug where I can't start a mission, and I believe it's a compatibility issue with v0.38.
      I'm planning to fix this and update, so please wait a little while longer.

    It's fun. Unfortunately on my high end Gaming PC this mods keeps crashing the game, no other mods active there.

    Great mod and lots of fun, would give 5 stars but unfortunately it keeps crashing my game no matter the settings or the map, even with all mods deactivated, sometimes straight away and others after a few minutes of gameplay

      Thank you for your review. I'm glad you're enjoying this mod!
      This mod spawns a lot of vehicles, which makes it prone to game crashes due to lack of resources. The max heat level and simple police options may help, but I'll try to find another option or something to further reduce resource usage.

    Its great that simplified police cars are back once more!, could skins be an option to be applied and if so is it possible to add the previous simplified police cars in the current configuration?.

      Thank you for your review! I'm glad you're happy with the back of simple traffic.
      The system of simple traffic has changed significantly since BeamNG.drive v0.33, so it is difficult to apply the previous simple traffic configuration and skin. It is possible to apply a skin to the current simple traffic, but it will need to be created anew.

    Its good but,it causes traffic to spawn with a few ahem,stripped down cop cars when you try to spawn normal traffic (for anyone else using it and having that issues,unpack the mod,and then either rename the vehicles folder or just delete it,as it just has configs and some simplified parts that aren't finished)

      Thank you for your review! As you said, this mod previously contained the now obsolete simple police file, which seems to have a negative effect on the official BeamNG traffic function. I apologize for the inconvenience. And thank you for providing the solution!

    start bugging out game horribly. any fixes dont work

      This mod spawns many vehicles, so it takes a long time to start the mission, and the FPS may drop significantly at the start. I implemented Simple Police so that it would work on PCs with insufficient performance, but it is not compatible with the BeamNG.drive update and is not currently functioning. I am planning to implement it again, so please wait a while.

      Thank you for your review! I also agree that it is necessary to make simple vehicles work, but I have not found an easy way to implement it in the current version of BeamNG.drive, so it will take some time to implement this feature again.
