Moonhawk West Coast Emissions 1.0

Clean exhaust at any cost.

Ah, the 1970s. Gerald Ford was President, gas was $0.57 per gallon, and cars made no power because of early emissions equipment. This was especially true in West Coast USA, where the battle against air pollution resulted in enormous V8 engines making less than 200 horsepower. This mod adds a "West Coast Emissions" package to the Moonhawk Intake, bringing the once glorious 378 CUI V8 down to 156 hp and 254 lb-ft of torque. It does reduce exhaust smoke though, so that's a plus.

(As a native Californian, this mod was inspired by my state's overly rigorous emissions laws in the 1970s. Luckily, we're a bit closer to normal now.)

"back to normal now" you realize california has the strictest and most ridiculous emissions standards of any state in this country, besides the states that have adopted "california emissions laws"? great resource though ;)

Eh, that's a bit debatable. You can still get cars that make plenty of power here, such as the 840-horsepower Dodge Demon, which is 100% California emissions legal. Glad you like the mod!

Yes, at least cars sold here now make the same power as cars sold in other states. Glad you like it!
