Considered to be the "Magnificent Failure" of Formula 1, the Lotus 43 with its BRM P75 3.0L H-16 engine was one of the most unreliable yet incredible vehicles in the 1966 to 1967 F1 season. To give you a perspective as to what an H16 engine looks like, imagine two Boxer-8 Porsche engines sandwiched on top of each other with 2 camshafts that connect to a single drive. As you can probably imagine, the overcomplicated nature of the BRM P75 is what eventually led to its downfall.

In automation, I have spent weeks configuring parts and pieces to make a placeholder engine that looks almost identical to the BRM P75 H16 that the real Lotus 43 sported on its rear. It matches the same 405HP at 10500rpm and produces a near ungodly amount of torque as throughout acceleration testing this thing has constantly made wheelies. However, unlike the real deal, you won't have to worry about this engine blowing up as it's passed and overachieved in all reliability testing. Not to mention the fact that of all the cars that I have made with automation, this Beast sounds the best. HANDLING: Is incredible but tends to flip at high-speed corners (fixed). Accelerates like a BAT OUTTA HELL going from 0-60 at around 2.56 seconds. The car is very light and therefore stiff but it could use a little more weight in the front and understeers slightly.

In terms of design, I would definitely consider this car to be one of my masterpieces (mostly for the engine). I even made it so that most of the meters and the steering wheel work. I tried my best to copy 1:1 the entire interior of the Lotus 43 but due to limited references, I could only get most of the dashboard and the steering wheel. DESIGN FLAWS: is subject to SNAP OVERSTEER and can spontaneously spin out if playing with keyboard.

This is only one of 2 new classic Formula 1 cars that I have in store for you with two more on the way. This car is not perfect ( I know) but it's pretty damn good for an automation build. If there are any issues, please respond to me or start a conversation (this goes for all my cars) so that I can fix it post haste. Enjoy![]()
