Legran wide angle drift steering 1.0

A custom drift suspension and steering for the Legran

This is a mod i've been working on for a few weeks now, it gives the Legran two types of drift steering, one which is simply a moved rack with shorter knuckles which gives around 50 degrees of steering rotation, around 10 degrees over the vanilla one, this one is found under the regular suspension,
and a custom one where i've moved around more of the geometry, this one is it's own separate suspension part

the custom one can give up to a whopping 70 degrees of steering in drift, but it can also invert or cause binding at extreme settings, i have limited that as much as i could without limiting adjust-ability but it can still happen, i've also redone the steering limiters and alignment settings, primarily so toe stays the same when adjusting camber, more caster, adjustable ackerman etc, and limiter adapts roughly to the steering angle and alignment settings

I would highly recommend using the advanced wheel debug UI app when tuning to see what the alignment is actually at,

it includes a config with what i find to be easy settings to drift with for my G25

also this is purely a jbeam mod so the mesh will clip and might stretch in odd ways

This mod is really good, but there is one big problem. The front suspension arms constantly break or bend at high drift angles. Will it be possible to fix this problem? I apologize for the errors in the text, I don’t know English well. Thank you in advance for your help)

+2 years later, this is still the best steering mod ever posted. It's not even close. Even the premade custom config, although it doesn't fit my driving style, it's still years ahead of the vanilla drift configs and the ones posted on the repository. I do think that it's a good baseline for most driving styles.

Like everyone that has tried this, I wish you would do this for more cars, however, I recognize that achieving such a high level of quality requires a significant amount of time and effort, and I understand if you are unable to do so.
