Original idea and brilliant execution, mate! However, I'm just wondering why there isn't a race version of this; after all, the Jetside is one crazy car to drive considering how weak the brakes, steering, and suspension are compared to the car's immense power. But this did teach me one skill which I have until now only mildly considered: Plan your route a corner ahead. But then again, of course, there's loads of potential for the engine to be stuffed into something like a Pessima or a Covet or even a Pigeon and make some even crazier stuff. In fact, after stripping a twin-turbine Jetside and putting the 4.11 welded diff, the lowered suspension kit, and some grippier tires, I got up to about 200 mph within a mile or so. I was like, "Holy (insert your profile pic here), that is fast for a '50s car!"

It's a shame jet turbine and Wankel engines never took off (pun not intended), what a future we could've lived in!

YES! I have similar thoughts but in reality, they are just rolling concepts.

That's it, this is in my top 3 fav mods for Beam.ng drive. I have ALWAYS had a fascination with the highly experimental turbine engines. This mod seemed to work seamlessly and the addition of custom sounds took the cake. This is one great mod!!

Nice mod I really like it!
I got a great idea where you can work on you might have heard about it but I am going to tell it anyway. In 1974 a stuntdriver called Ken Carter tried to jump one mile in his rocket car. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpUMSarCSQw Another shot video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEyJxcjhGoo And if you are really getting into this stunt, here is a documentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgIhGTpKTwM&lc=z125s1ljpnr0tlrlx22wy3hxdsyqvvhjy04

Let me know what you think about this and please reply me if you would create this rocket car in BeamNG drive because that would be SUPER epic!

This is great. Only, it is very hard to kill it. Even the heaviest cinderblock wall can't destroy it.

Just awesome!!! Finally a reason to drive the Burnside. I love how much thought you put into this to make it like the original JetCar. Sound is incredible, as well!

this is a very good mod! it also sounds awesome, but, from idle revving up it takes 13 seconds to turn the coolant light on and 23 seconds for the"piston rings"(?) to get damaged, so, if you could make a better radiator for it that would make it much more enjoyably to drive.

Very nice mod! I've had lots of fun with it. I do wish though that you could make the jets and the turbine engine... but I understand that you can't model. Also, you should do one for the Barstow. It seems closest to the real thing because of the body style (well, at least the front)

A great sounding mod, but with 2 problems: firstly, the single turbine model never wants to down shift once it reaches 3rd gear. Secondly, if you lift off the throttle in the twin turbine and then full throttle it, it will downshift to 1st gear and then lock up the rear wheels, at which point you spin. I dont know if it is just me getting this, or whether everyone experiences the same thing. A really cool mod nonetheless

Very cool mod. I thought it woul better fit the barstow, but I was wrong. Maybe you could make the engine fit in the stock burnside and add a better radiator ? In neutral the car overheats at the same speed the rpm go up.

Without changing anything, I just ran both the cars idling for 5 minutes. Both of them are able to maintain 100 degrees Celsius at idle without effort.
