This is a near masterpiece. I would love to see some updates if you ever change your mind. I think the 2 biggest improvements would be that some of the residential buildings seem too dull while many of the tree leaves seem too bright.

This is a massively underrated map, and almost feels like driving in an animé with the cartoonish art style. Don't be so hard on yourself for not making it "culturally accurate"; most of Japan doesn't look this idyllic, sure, but there are some parts that are like this and condensing only the best bits of the area you're trying to replicate into the map is exactly what the BeamNG devs do with vanilla maps. Please take a look at the LOD/nulldetail/autobillboard settings of these trees: https://i.imgur.com/t8dReOb.jpeg as all of them rendering in full detail all at once is the biggest contributor to lag in the map; if I zoom way out they switch to a lower detail or despawn way too late or not at all.

Dang! thats a really nice map, i have an idea what if you add like a factory that makes technology? (like phones or car parts) somewhere in the map? i think that will be a great addition. If not, its ok.

i really like the vibe of this map. quite a bit to explore and the area with the traditional houses and cherryblossoms near the small waterfall is really nice!

First time to write a review cause this map really impresses me.
Great Japanese map with immersive driving experience. I was amazed that things like cIty layouts, roadmarkings, clutters and vegetation are all paid attention to, and that contibutes to the great gameplay.
But problems still exist. Performance is not good, maybe try reduce the amounts of lights, use less shadow, and optimize LOD. Textures need to be upgraded and roads needs to have more variaty (e.g. tire tracks, different surfaces) to make the map more realistic and less "cartoonish". And AI needs some fixes (bugged navigation and AI traffic in city area).
This map definitely has huge potential and I hope to see this map being upgraded with better graphics and fps.

Very cool map. Could use some fixes here and there but the base is very solid.

Keep working - definitely has promise

Oh it´s good enough for me. The AI roads work nicely, it even has some elevated city highways. It´s a little cartoonish, but in a very pleasant way. With a little polishing (for instance the road middle decals don´t work well on my particular graphic settings) and a little more variety it will definitely be a keeper!

the textures look like ps2 games and my cpu and gpu was BARELY used while in the map at 2fps
