Introduced back in 1955, the Model C (then known as the Miara Model C) was a hit from the start. The 1st gen car only had 4 digit production numbers to meet IRA homologation rules, and keep production costs low. It achieved speed ranging from 120 mph to an eventual 157 mph. But new IRA rules killed off the car in 1960 half way through the season (International Racing Association is notorious for this bad behavior).

In 1962, a new Royal Miara was designed, and it gave Calvinator an idea. Make a modifiable version that is both inexpensive and fast. In 1964, the Miara was released, and the prototype Miara Model C was unveiled at the Los Calvos 1964 autoshow. It was a hit, and the team began work, but one small change. They renamed it to Model C. The Model C was released in 1965 as the 1966 Calvinator Model C S, with a small inline 4 creating just over 110 BHP. It didn't quite live up to the hype, but it was definitely fast for the road, achieving a top speed of 115 mph. This was so it could meet the IRA regulations, which were constantly changing.

In 1965, the International Automotive Racing Organization was announced as a direct competitor to IRA, and had lower entry costs and restrictions than IRA, and promised no mid season rule changes. Calvinator, hearing this news, got to work on a more powerful version of the Model C S. It was nicknamed, the Jogger. The engine was a 444ci V8 (known as the Jogger) that cranked out 460 BHP, propelling the car to a wild 160+ mph. The result was a winning car. But then, Calvinator felt that they needed a faster car, but needed a whole new division to do it, so they got together WWII veterans who were ace pilots, including the head of the Calvinator Engineering Dept, "Calvin Null" (NOTE: automation universe, not real veterans) to form the Calvinator Racing Motors brand (or CRM).

In 1967, CRM was launched, and they created the Model C R, a model C with a new CV8 426ci Mad Dog Engine with over 470 BHP. This car was almost entered, but then Royal stopped the project. The Model C R was found out to be unfit for the track... and Royal wanted a faster Miara. Royal created the Miara Renegade, but it was basically a Model C Jogger with Miara fixtures, and was not quite as fast as the Jogger. So they made a new car, better suited for racing. They also made a small engine that had WICKED amounts of power. It was a 363 ci V8 called the "Jogger Warrior", or simply the "Warrior". It cranked out 532 BHP, making it the most powerful production mid block for its time. CRM also wanted a Model C that used this engine, so they made a better car, and while the Miara got around 184 mph, the new Model C R went 190+ mph. It was called the 1968 CRM Model C R Warrior. It was fast, and it was a proven winner. It was even converted into an Aerocar in 1969 after the 69 Royal Miara Super Aero (or Super Miara) failed. The Aerocar version of the Model C warrior was known as the Lauraville, and used the 532 BHP engine till it was no longer permitted in 1973 after the Leaded fuel ban.

In 1970, though it never made it to production, this car generated a lot of hype. It was the Calvinator Model C ORV. It featured wing doors, a t-bar, 4x4 suspension and powertrain, and the CV8 444ci Jogger at just over 460 BHP. It had a 4 speed manual transmission just like every other Calvinator at the time. It was never approved because they weren't allowed to put a Warrior engine in it, but 180 examples were made and auctioned off. The reason it was not allowed a Warrior engine was because in 1969, the 1970 Model C Lauraville by Calvinator stole the 1969 Royal Miara Super Aero's Thunder with the 532 BHP Warrior engine, (they had a bigger, fuel injected, 455 BHP Warrior II engine to power it, but the original 363 Warrior with DCOE Quad Carb was much more powerful, and while slightly less reliable, pulled speeds of over 220 mph while the Super Miara only got 203 mph). The Lauraville also fared better in SCAR (Stock Car Auto Racing) as well as the other IARO Divisions (International Auto Racing Organization) than the Super Miara.

The Production numbers for the Model C are as follows:
    1965: 1,243,822 cars
    1966: 4,673,532
    1967: 10,453,842
    1968: 17,372,540
    1969: 32,567,210
    1970: 50,456,324
    1971: 58,324,972
    1972: 59,989,953
    1973: 60,567,231

The gen 2 Model C was Calvinator's most popular car, with the Model C R Warrior taking the biggest slice of the production pie at 25,320,040 cars. The Gen 2 Model C still holds a place in the hearts of everyone who has ever associated with Calvinator (Employed, designed, built, owned, driven, or even riding in one) and is often called "The Greatest Calvinator Ever Built."
