Great mod, but broken window textures and grille textures don't look that great. Really looking forward to van, 1958 and tow truck variations

The glass will be addressed here shortly. I chose to do it differently than the default cars, and as a result, got a meh glass texture. Van, and other model years are planned.

Very well made mod. The glass is kind of dark though when inside the car. But overall great mod, I really enjoyed using it.

Thanks :) The update for JBeam stuff should be out next week. New transmissions, the 423 V8 from the barstow, and a few intake options. Should be good.

A badass truck mod. I know that you are working hard on other configs, aswell as smoothing out other things, and I would like to ask if you could make a config that looks like the normal base truck, but can haul a tanker trailer. This would be super appreciated. Keep up the good work. :)

Thanks for the review. I do have the intention to bring in some more heavy duty parts, so this definately could be done.

This is 100% worthy of 5 stars, although it would be a little bit better if it were on the regular Gavril truck page, because then I could combine my other mods with it.
    1. Driv3r1142
      Author's Response
It technically could be done, but it's easier to have it as its own vehicle mod, especially when adding things in. And it helps it last a bit longer through updates to BeamNG.

Hmm... Not impossible, they're relatively simple once you get around the maze of wires, gears, belts, ect. I thought the barstow engine was quite fitting though. We will see. Thanks for the review :)

Very nice, but the colour range and the engine sounds need working on. Here's how I think it needs improving:
The engine sounds at about 2100 rpm to 3000 is beautiful on the I6 and on the V8, however the problem is that when you accelerate hard you expect it to sound like a raoring inline 6 or something, but no, it sounds more like that on 2100-3000rpm. HIgher RPM sounds quite muffled to be honest. Other than that the sound is fine. The car handles well too, and is not impossible to drive unlike some mods.
The colour range is meh, because the normal chrominess seems to matte, and when you add a little more chrome, it dilutes the colour. I am not sure if you can fix that, but overall that is all that covers this mod. Enough of me nattering, this is a great mod overall seeing that the power under the hood is fab, the panels are put together very well and slick. Thanks for the mod mate, I had faith in this and this is one of the mods that truly truly impress me.

Thank you for the review. Its nice to actually be able to get something from it unlike the previous review and its one line insult.

I am not happy with BeamNG's engine sounds. I have adjusted things quite a bit and they still sound like garbage. I am considering obtaining some sound samples of a real Chevrolet i6 and v8 from the time period, although I do not have any sources right now :/ Any sources would be greatly appreciated.

I think I fixed the colors for the next release. After setting some transparency settings for some of the layers, I got it to be alot shinier.

My family had a 1996 GMC Sierra at one point. Towards the end of the line for the C/K based trucks. Really do miss that truck. Was sold to some kid who totaled it :/ I recall there was at one point a Chevrolet truck mod at one point that was based heavily around the D series. Time broke that mod sadly, but maybe someday it will be brought back.

Very good mod! The taillights are waaaayyy too bright, though. They light up my entire screen when I'm in third person. Otherwise, very well done!

Thank you for the review. I will be working on things as I go. The brightness might not be fixed in the first update, but it will be fixed at some point.

I've always had a soft spot for anything vintage on wheels, especially 1950s American automobiles.

I will see what I end up doing down the road ;)
Thanks for the review. Keep an eye out this next week for updates.

Corboian has no clue, old trucks are better then modern trucks, love it, and love the real life variant the Chevrolet 1955 3100 apache!
    1. Driv3r1142
      Author's Response
Thank you for your review. The correct way to reference a pre 1958 Task force truck is simply Chevrolet (model number here, for instance, 3100.)

They didn't use the Apache nameplate on the trucks until 1958, and stopped using it after 1960

      :)

Great mod, frame and physics are great right now, but the body has some visible seams that need some work, and I personally think it would look better and more accurate with twin headlights instead of singles. Keep up the good work!
    1. Driv3r1142
      Author's Response
      Thanks for your review.
The panel gaps are only modeled in right now, and look rough because of it. Once the rest of the body is good in my eyes, I will UV unwrap the body and get some normal maps in place so the bevels look a bit better.

As for twin headlights, they're coming as part of the later model years I have planned. There are alot more trim pieces that I have planned that I can't get in just yet. Stay tuned ;)
