The 854eh should have the 854 series rear diffuser instead of the 856 one because the exhaust pipe holes but other than that its great also whats L in the gear select
"L" gear just enables regenerative braking when off the throttle, instead of coasting. In a real car it would allow near-one-pedal driving, with the brake pedal only needed for a full stop.
There's no driveshaft on a Toyota-styled hybrid; the differential is inside the transmission and the half-shafts go directly from that to the wheel hubs :)
The AWD rear axle is just a motor, differential, and the half-shafts.
Great mod, would be cool if you added an extra mode that deploys the same amount of battery as EV mode but with the combustion engine running. Maybe as some sort as "overcharge" mode.
The race version does that. The Eco/Sport versions don't have powerful enough drive motors. The drive motor is still at full power regardless of if the engine's running or not, but if the engine's running, it supplies some of the electricity for the drive motor, so the power coming out of the battery is less. The race model has a way more powerful drive motor that can handle all the power the engine generates *and* all the power the battery can supply at the same time.
I love it, would like to see more of the modern cars be turned into hybrids, like the K-series and Sunburst.
But thats a topic for the discussion page ;)
