I'd say a solid 9/10. And i believe you started on the right place of modding BNG. Jbeams can be really tricky to understand at first, so any help you need in future mods (or updating this one) pm me ;)
Bottom line: Awesome work for a first mod!

I give it 4.5/5, only because no engine model, but ya said you dont know how so not gonna completely roast. Works fine on my end.
