Description
Enhance your driving immersion in BeamNG.drive with full DualSense controller support. This mod integrates with the DSX app to provide real-time adaptive trigger feedback, RPM-reactive LEDs, gear indicators, and thermal alerts - all mapped from your vehicle's telemetry.
Currently in beta - feel free to request features and provide feedback!
Features
- Adaptive Triggers: Dynamic throttle and brake resistance based on vehicle state, traction loss, and ABS activation
- LED Indicators: Real-time RPM visualization, turn signals indicator, gear indicators (V1/Edge models only), temperature warnings, low fuel indicator and engine status alerts

Requirements
- DSX Windows Driver (Steam)
- PlayStation 5 DualSense controller
Installation
- Install and configure DSX app (enable UDP server on 127.0.0.1:6969)
- Subscribe to this mod (from here or in the BeamNG Mod Repository)
- (Optional): Edit config.lua for customization
Configuration
Key settings in config.lua:
CONFIG.DSX_IP = "127.0.0.1"
CONFIG.DSX_PORT = 6969
CONFIG.CONTROLLER_INDEX = 0
Compatibility
- Gear Indicators: Only available on DualSense V1 and Edge models due to hardware limitations
Troubleshooting
- Ensure DSX UDP server is enabled and matches config IP/port
- Check BeamNG console for errors
- Verify controller is recognized in DSX app
- For performance issues, increase MIN_PACKET_INTERVAL in config
- Check GitHub page to open issues or provide feedback
