This map is a separate Short Course only version of my original map "Painted Desert", which is a desert racing map. The Short Course was inspired heavily by the track on Marty Coyne's property in El Centro, CA. The trails in the desert can be used, but all bushes and other details outside of a certain radius have been removed for fps/BeamMP purposes.

Due to the file size limits, some things like the normal map on the whole map are kinda wonky and look a little strange at far distances, but up close it's just fine. This version works for me but please let me know if you find any other problems so I can fix them ASAP.
Last thing: Other than potentially one more map this will more than likely be my last map, at least for the foreseeable future. Just in case: I just want to thank everyone for their support, feedback, and all the downloads. I didn't expect to see some of my projects get over 5,000 downloads which is a lot to me, and it makes me happy that so many of you get to experience something that has been a part of my life for years now between real racing and sim racing. I take map making very seriously and strive to get better and more realistic with all my projects and the fact that so many of you gave it a chance and a lot enjoyed it means more to me than most of you will ever know. Please let Short Course live on through a place where race tracks can't be paved over and developed, other than making people happy with my content, that has been the main goal since I started making Short Course tracks years ago.
So thank you, genuinely from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I hope somebody will carry the torch and keep doing this with the few tracks that haven't been made.

Hey thanks for the good review and kind words! I’m glad your pc is able to run them, I spent a lot of time learning how to optimize them and still maintain the quality and it’s nice to hear that it payed off!
Map making has been a fun ride but I think I’ll be taking a break for a while, maybe permanently. I spent a lot of time making desert maps years ago, most of which have now been changed or adopted by other people and unfortunately are on various patreons. I left a link on this post to a patreon called cams maps where you can find the full desert version of Painted Desert, an updated version of Rage at the River, another map I had originally made, and he has a few originals of his own, but I think my last 2 uploads are basically going to close out my modding career.
Thanks for being a part of it and sharing your opinion, people like you have made all the time and effort completely worth it and allowed me to keep going for so long!
