It's a city. Look at the amount of graphics in this city. It already has much of the resources it will need to become a full-fledged map. There is nothing I can do about it unless you want textures that look like mud.
Otherwise, do enjoy the map.

This map works fine.
You have an issue with a mod conflict. Please remove other mods and try again. Make sure you're on 0.17 game version. This is not an issue with my map, as the developers and staff all like it.

- 5/5,
It looks nice, and I do not want to rate lower that 5 stars, but I can't find it in maps.
-
Author's Response
First check in documents\beamng.drive\mods folder to see that you don't have the old So-Cal Interstate. That will directly conflict. Then re-download this map manually, by browsing to this page and clicking the download button, then putting it in the above-mentioned folder.
Then re-try again to run the map, it should be near the bottom of the map selector screen. The icon should look like the resource icon above.

- 5/5,
This is really fun to drive around and I can't wait for more stuff to come! My only complaint is that the sky looks cloudy all the time but the reflection on the cars looks blue. Other than that, you did an awesome job filling the city map void in the game!
-
Author's Response
Yes, that is an issue with the sky. Fog was removed in the last week before public release. I will be sure to fix that. Thanks for letting me know about that oversight.
Entirely 1000% there was a city map void, we need these. This is why I not only chose to fill it with this map, I chose to offer folks a 900-piece MRK (Modular Road Kit) within the map resources to build their own city with.
Let's see if folks actually figure out how to use it, now.

- 4/5,
I have one complaint - One, singular complaint.
The drive-thru at Burger World is way too narrow, and if it were a realistic drivethru, it would be separated by some form of barrier or awning.
Other than that, map's amazing. It's a city environment, but with the same usual winding roads that are to be expected from a Blunderton map.
If I could give a half-rating, I definitely would, because as it stands, this is easily a 4.5/5 map.-
Author's Response
There's one Burger World in the map, that's across the lake from the rest of them, there's not much but one or two tall buildings and a bunch of little stores near a sunken subway entrance. That has what you seek already. There's four (if I remember correctly) Burger World locations in the map, so do find them all. It's near one of the highway dead-ends where it's not finished being built yet.

- 5/5,
Combined to the traffic tool, this map is an neverending source of enjoyment. So many nice road setups and details !

Author's Response
That means the world coming from you, thank-you highly for your review. I love your Olds Full-size mod, so many thanks for that also. Plenty of jumps here to take the junk-yard car off of, and watch all the doors fall off when you land - always one of my favorite past-times when not busy hauling pianos around torturing them to death.
In mapping, it's all about the details, and I have so many details to add yet, so stay tuned. I'm not stopping until this thing looks fairly close to an AA or AAA game. It might not beat GTAV's design but that doesn't stop me from trying, at the very least.

- 4/5,
Flying with a plane i realize that some of the borders of the maps have invisible walls, and i realize that there will be more detail upcoming, for which im glad. Although the desert surrounding the city needs more vegetation, or just a change of color to Utah's more vivid sand? Either way im loving this.
-
Author's Response
I can't fly to save my hide. The invisible walls I did not put there, to be honest. That's something done by the game-engine itself.
I will have to check it out and take a look at it sometime, but thank-you for reporting the bug none-the-less.
For others, if you find a bug, please use the discussion forums at the top on the tabs, to let me know of any issues you might have.
--Cheers & Enjoy the map

I felt that if I took off just fair bit of detail from the buildings, and made them just slightly simpler (not as simple as most of them that you can't go in are, mind you), I could use more detail in out-of-the-way little semi-hidden places, or made parking decks you could go into, underground nooks and crannies, etc. This comment makes me feel it's all worth it (it's far from the only one, too).
So explorers rejoice - Los Injurus is sure to please your quest for adventure and discovery.
---Had to post this bit here:
There's also been some debate on YouTube if this is bigger than GTA V or not: It is by square miles and land mass, but if you measured the end-to-end it's technically just slightly shorter in one direction, just that GTA V's landmass is more 'round' so isn't as big on square miles. Now of-course GTA V looks prettier than I can do currently, but I'm working on that, I promise.

- 5/5,
Wow, where do I begin? First of all, it's incredible how well this is optimized; my PC is midrange at best, and I haven't noticed any hiccups or low frames. A huge improvement over the So-Cal map. The city looks awesome, and there are many screaming straight roads great for testing top speed. I had my own fun drifting on the back roads. Speaking of which, it would take hours to drive on every road on this map! Excited to see future progress on this breathtaking map!

Author's Response
Thanks a million. Your traffic makes this city come alive and it's great fun driving around landing on cars, heehee. I had quite my share of vertically enhanced overtakes here. I am sure you will too if you practice jumps with traffic on. My work on this city and the great things I have in store have just begun, with how well this map was received. Have a blast in what's there though. In the future I'll get some of the buggy AI in the intersections worked out, it's usually fine though for the most part.

- 4/5,
Only issue is the car gets stuck in spawn but that can be fixed with F8 and F7. Otherwise great map.
-
Author's Response
Just hold the accelerator key down for a few seconds and it'll paw it's way out. I tried to fix it a few times but the spawn seemed to stick where it was, as if it had a mind of it's own. I will fix it via text editor for the next update, though to be honest it was never really a bugger for me at all.
Try to enjoy the map none-the-less.

- 5/5,
i love this. its great for chases (if you set the speed of the cops) and it is so optimized, youd almost think it wasnt that big. nice work, and it was worth the wait

Author's Response
I spent the great part of 2~3 months or something remotely like that figure getting it to run better, trying all kinds of things until I finally 'got good', as they'd say. Then it was so worth it. Then BeamNG updated around last Chris-Mess and it was almost heaven, it pretty-much doubled the FPS! Here some of the optimization process I had been doing just hadn't been totally working as well as it should of, as there weren't various speed-ups done to the renderer that could have benefited from what I was doing with the models. When that all came together, it took 40FPS up to 80~90fps. THAT is then worth all the time spent - but even half that would have.
That took a lot of research and a lot pages worth of chit-chats with those who know more than I did at the time.
Only then could I truly make what I wanted, and I've barely just started moving with this project. Enjoy all the nifty places there are, even if the city isn't even half-done yet.
Thank-you for the good words, too, it helps!
--Cheers!

- 5/5,
i dont think i've ever seen a beamng mod that has GB in the download size, amazing
-
Author's Response
Yes, much of the size comes from the 900 piece Modular Road Kit or MRK for short. It enables budding map designers the ability to make their own city with all the pieces one could ever want for snapping together their professional-grade cities with a minimal time investment.
