Alpha Bus Cape for the D-Series 1.02

Sometimes you just gotta send it... IN STYLE

    Hello all, and welcome to my second mod release: A "Hero" cape for the D-Series. This mod uses an unedited copy of the "citybus_cape.DAE" and uses the built-in scaling and position function in the Jbeam.

    Features:
    • A cape.
    • That's about it.

    Works on short bodies too!

    To Use:
    1. Open BeamNG.drive.
    2. Make sure the mod is actually loaded.
    3. Pick your map.
    4. Spawn a D-Series.
    5. Open your vehicle editor.
    6. Find "Spare tire holder," it'll normally be in the "bed" sub-sections. Short bodies have it in the "body" sub-sections.
    7. Select "Hero Cape".
    8. Be cool.

    Known Bugs/Issues:
    • The stepside bed has no "spareholder" slot, so you can't use the cape.
    • The off-road frames (Prerunner/crawler) do not have a "spareholder" slot either...
    • If you remove the tailgate, the mesh for the cape-hanger rings vanishes as it's grouped to the tailgate. (may change this later idk)
    • The cape and rings don't always line up perfectly. (I may try adressing this at some point)
    • The cape will occasionally stick through the bumper or the ground, but I couldn't get it to do so while I was taking my screenshots...
    • The cape gets stuck on the pickup and on itself a LOT. I really have no idea how to even begin addressing this.
    • Don't open your tailgate.

    Future Plans:
    • Short cape that won't drag the ground.
    • Skinnable capes (Don't hold your breath lol).
    The mod should just drop into your mods folder and work. Let me know if you run into any bugs that I haven't listed here.

    Another must-have mod. I can now build the most American truck ever. (Minus the screaming bald eagles and the bed mounted .50 caliber)

      Lol there is, in fact, a mod for a bed-mounted "Ma Deuce". Also I credited you with the idea because I wouldn't have thought of it unless you had said it. Double lol
