Beta Bridgehampton Race Circuit 0.81

The old glorious race track of Bridgehampton

This is a recreation of the Bridgehampton Race circuit, built in 1957 the track was located in the heart of the Hamptons on Long Island NY.
This track is modeled after the later years around the late 80's and early 90's when wild grass was everywhere and the trees were tall.

THIS IS NOT THE AVERAGE ASSETTO CORSA CONVERSION THAT YOU ARE USED TO SEE!
I wouldn't even call this a conversion since I recreated terrain, asphalt and vegetation from zero in BeamNG level editor using track data from the Assetto Corsa version developed by LilSki (https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/bridgehampton-race-circuit.6604/), I also used track assets from this Assetto Corsa version of the track and I want to thank LilSki for allowing me to do so! I am a great fan of what he did for Assetto Corsa, so also look for his Assetto Corsa tracks on Race Department.

I decided to recreate the track from zero in order to use all the features built in the game engine. In this way you can enjoy a nice looking track, perfect vegetation and PBR materials, great phisics and performance optimization... this cost me weeks of work but the track is actually fully functional and ready to host a race!

All the track barriers and object collisions meshes have been recreated in the game engine to avoid the "sticky" problem that you are used to see on other Assetto Corsa's conversions.
I decided to leave the fences transparent to collision because in my opinion it's more realistic to have it like that than having a solid wall behaviour when you impact on them.

Feel free to report any problem with the track.

Tbh, I thought this map was going to be laggy bc when I see a high-quality map, I always assume that it will be laggy (bc I had a bad experience with high-quality maps with my PC). But when I started it, it wasn't laggy. 5 stars for that.

Beautiful track, fun ass layout, but for the love of christ fix the issue where the car can sometimes be ENTIRELY OBLITERATED when running over the tires.

sure thing, I am already working on that... Actually I also managed to make the track work for multiplayer races with lap counter, lap times and positions (i am now testing pit stops and pitlane triggers).

I am also finishing to place skidmarks on the track

It's beyond good but I'd love it even more if there was a version with kerbs, the tires at the apexes can explode your car in some corners

      thanks :)
this mods wants to replicate as similar as possible how the track was... and sadly it never had kerbs.

yes, if you take the tyres too aggressively they can make your tyres deflate and you can possibly break a suspension or make the car going off camber... but in the end that's what happens in real life and why they put tyres in the inner part of the corner ahah

it's a really nice track but the fact that i can't race it on beamMP with my friends takes away the fifth star for me, may i ask why is it like that ?

You can race it online, there is no problem about that... I just ask not to put a direct download to it from your server if it's a public server

Awesome track in AC and a Awesome track here, Will you convert more of Lilski's tracks like Riverside, Watkins Glen, Road America, Calaboogie and NJMP?

      Thanks!
Yes, I want to recreate a lot of american tracks in BeamNG and LilSki tracks are among my favourites... I don't know which one will be next, but i was also thinking about the VIR (but i should talk to the creator before doing anything).

Also I already talked with the creator of the AC open world map Glen Sheil and I will recreate that map in BeamNG when the map will be published on race department.

Anyways, to create maps with this detail level and optimization takes a lot of time and effort, so it's not a fast process
