Austrian License Plates 0.9

Dynamic license plates featuring all Austrian regular plates

  1. Karli Davidson

    AUSTRIAN LICENSE PLATES

by Karli D. and Edith P.

based on European License Plates Compilation made by Jorge Pinto

    Lettering system:

    • one or two letters which indicate the local district. As a general rule, State capitals have one letter; other districts have two letters.
    • the coat of arms of the Austrian state the district belongs to (see below for explanation). Diplomatic vehicles have a dash (–) instead, federal official vehicles wear the Austrian Federal Eagle.
    • "block 1": A three to five-letter or number sequence. Either only letters or only numbers! It's not allowed to mix letters with numbers.
    • A small gap between block 1 and block 2
    • "block 2": A one to two-letter or number sequence. If you used numbers in block one, now use letters and vice versa.
The letter "Q" is excluded from all sequences. The numbers must not start with a zero (0).

    Local registration district:
    City of Vienna (Wien): W
Burgenland: E, EU, GS, JE, MA, ND, OP, OW
Carinthia (Kärnten): K, FE, HE, KL, SP, SV, VI, VK, VL, WO
Lower Austria (Niederösterreich): P, AM, BL, BN, GD, GF, HL, HO, KG, KO, KR, KS, LF, MD, ME, MI, NK, PL, SB, SW, TU, WB, WN, WT, WY, ZT

Upper Austria (Oberösterreich): L, BR, EF, FR, GM, GR, KI, LL, PE, RI, RO, SD, SE, SR, UU, VB, WE, WL
Salzburg: S, HA, JO, SL, TA, ZE
Styria (Steiermark): G, BM, DL, GB, GU, HF, LB, LE, LI, LN, MT, MU, SO, VO, WZ
Tyrol (Tirol): I, IL, IM, KB, KU, LA, LZ, RE, SZ
    Vorarlberg: B, BZ, DO, FK

    The coat of arms:

City of Vienna (Wien): type !
    Burgenland: type .
    Carinthia (Kärnten): type /
    Lower Austria (Niederösterreich): type ,

    Upper Austria (Oberösterreich): type #
    Salzburg:
    type %
    Styria (Steiermark): type &
    Tyrol (Tirol): type (
    Vorarlberg: type )
    Austrian Federal Eagle:
    type +

The gap between the blocks: type _

    EXAMPLE:

To get the above plate (from Vorarlberg) you would have to type:

    DO)BUS_3

of course you don't need the colors. The colors are just for a better understanding of the lettering system.

    ANOTHER EXAMPLE:

    K/510_BV

There are also some plates that wear the Austrian Federal Eagle instead of the coat of arms. Most popular sequences would be:

A+1000 - President of the Republic of Austria (other numbers might be another high ranked politicians)
BP+1234 - "Bundespolizei", what is the federal police

    and

WD-15 - A dash instead of the coat of arms for foreign ambassadors

Last not least: The mod includes a generator, that creates valid austrian plates ingame.

    Thats all?
Well... almost. The plates in Austria are in general one-line-plates. But there are exceptions. At the moment the mod uses the models of EU plates mod made by Jorge Pinto. But in future I might include my own models with the right size to fit the Austrian plates even more. There are green numbers for Electric vehicles and blue plates for... yeah... all that might come in future updates.
