Arcade Performance Index 2.1

Get a performance rating for any car, setup, or tune!

  1. Galaxia
    Arcade Performance Index [v2.1]

Receive a custom-made performance value for any car, setup, or tune - in an arcade style class rating system!

This mod dynamically calculates top speed and acceleration using mathematical formulas that have been tested to be as accurate as possible.

    • Top Speed is calculated using a complex formula derived from horsepower and weight.
      • It calculates approximate top speed (not based on gearbox, tunes, or aerodynamics)
    • Acceleration is calculated using the approximate quarter-mile time of the vehicle.
The Performance Index Rating is calculated based on the values above with a weighted scale.

There are 2 different styles available:

    Standard (only PI)

Extended (with PI and stat bars)

Car Classes are an extension of this - providing a “Forza-like” classing system.

Based on the value of the overall rating, you will be categorized into 1 of 9 car classes.

    How mod support works:
Mod Support is purely based on naming support. Any mods that are supported will have a full "custom" name displayed instead of their internal name.

    Current Mods Supported [v2.1]:

    FORUM THREAD:

    NOTES:
    • The car class system was designed to load after the number is shown so that the class is accurate.
    KNOWN ISSUES:
    • If you (for some reason) have no other active apps on the screen it will break functionality. This has something to do with the update rate or forcing the UI to update, but my app doesn’t have that so it won’t display properly. As long as this app isn’t the only active UI element, this issue will not show up.

Thank you very much for making this mod! It’s so nice to have a quick and easy way to classify and compare vehicles. I hope this mod continues working well into the future.

The best mod I didn't know I needed, it was pretty cool seeing my Doosan Jericho get a rating of X-1600!

Incredible!.... but imbalanced. Almost nothing is E-class, and all of the mods I make (which are very high-powered) are X-class.

I'm aware of the E-Class issue, it will be fixed in the next update. But regarding the X-Class comment, that is how it works. If you give any car enough power it will reach X-Class. It all depends on the power to weight ratio. The next update will expand upon this though as it will be harder to reach X-Class. Cheers!

Great job! Should see if it could be integrated into career mode. Go check Camodo Gaming YT he did a review on the mod if you haven't already seen, he has nearly 4million subs so might help boost ya

Excellent mod! This will be VERY useful for setting up multiplayer races to ensure we have comparable vehicles for competition.

Was it intended that when a car has NOS the app assumes it's activated in it's calculations? maybe you could implement a way to stop that

this mod very nice for giving a quick and tangible view of a car's raw performance! it just needs handling and braking and maybe launch stats to be perfect, but I assume those are harder to measure

the tiers could use a tiny bit of adjustment. E tier is far too rare. at current mark <99 even the absolute worst cars struggle to score low enough. moving it up to being <129 would make D tier less packed

I noticed that as well, E Tier is very rare at the moment. I will definitely balance this more. Thanks!

I think X should be changed to gold to look better, green is too bland, or something like sss, of course, the decision is yours, I like pretty

Would it also be possible to have some sort of skid pad/figure 8 calculation for a Handling bar? Of course it still wouldnt cover braking but that could be done with a 60-0 test also to give a pretty good gauge of the cars overall performance

This was funnily enough my original plan. I wanted a handling bar as well but it was deemed too difficult to implement. But I honestly prefer what I have now. Thanks for the review!

Well done! Only issue i found is that electric cars rank way lower compared to petrol or diesel powered ones of similar performance (look at eSBR 800 for example). Imo it needs some kind of 1.5-1.7x multiplier for EVs

Thanks for pointing this out! This is an interesting problem. I will be working to fix this. Cheers.
