It is very cool! How do you like the idea of making an implementation of 5 digit numbers to recreate Initial D numbers? (13-954, 63-887 and others)

As much as I'd love to it would involve an absoolute ton of extra effort, including creating and maintaining separate plate jbeams for alll cars which is a massive pain and not reaaally worth it imo for a game that literally does not have a single vehicle it would realistically go on lol

amazing mod! the most accurate Japanese license plate mod for beamng. The only thing I would like to see is bigger plates for commercial vehicle options. In japan, bigger vehicles such as trucks or busses get bigger plates than regular passenger cars.

      Author's Response
Yeah honestly for this I've just been doing it in the plate size for my own mods where it fits since it doesn't require an actual new model, adding new plate parts is a whole other hell to maintain so I'd encourage people to just ask individual mod creators if they could do it themselves where it fits, I don't think theres many mods at all out there that would even fit needing a proper big commercial plate lol

And I'm sorry many times. Since hiragana is still large, and to make it more realistic, I would like you to borrow a hiragana font from this font project and try creating it. I think this is closer to the real thing than Gothic. I will paste the link to the font project below.

I can't use other fonts as I don't have permission to use those on the repo, that page specifically says personal use only with no publishing anywhere (at least according to google translate). I also have no clue how to work with a font in a language I don't speka, apologies. I've tried to mess with the sizing loads and the current size seemed the closest patch to all the various real life pictures I could find, smaller looked incorrect to me. If you have better information about how specifically they are sized feel free to DM me, though from what I can tell it varies massively from place to place (and character to character) and doesn't seem to have a standard size anywhere

It's very real. thank you. However, there are some issues that I would like to see improved. Compared to real Japanese license plates, the hiragana characters are larger. I think if you adjust the size of the hiragana, you can create a perfect plate that looks very realistic. Please improve.

      Author's Response
The size seems to massively vary on the references I was seeing so I sort of had to just guess there, useful feedback and i'll try to get that sorted soon :)

amazing mod, just needs this for an improvement that would be programming nightmares:

instead of the hiragana RNG'ing itself, how about using the parts picker to choose a hira or the Y for the Okinawa plate.
