After seeing the popularity of the hard-top sedans made by Monica ELDY/Celina EXiA at the time, Arima decided to create a stylish and sporty compact sedan. and in 1993, it was launched under the names Arima Caelo and Arima Gaia.
At first the sales were consistent in their own way, but the disadvantage of adopting a hardtop form is that the space of the vehicle is very small, and soon, the popularity of the RV vehicle increases and the sales are getting smaller. It was discontinued in 1998, ending the history of Arima Caelo and Gaia.
Also Caelo and Gaia played in the JTCC, like Celina EXiA, and performed quite well.
Caelo was sold at Joyce dealerships, which sold progressive vehicles focused on young and female customers.
And Gaia was sold at ANIMO dealerships, selling vehicles focused on practicality.
