1985-2000 Commander Baby Patriot

This vehicle was originally made in Automation on request. So, because I have some Photoscene issues ingame, this time mod comes in BeamNG before Automation upload.

• THE STORY

In the mid 1980s United States Army Command ordered the replacement for the aging 4x4 vehicles, tracing back to the early 1960s. The requests were powerful engine, light truck frame, overall weight up to 3 tons and additional armor ability (with less negative consequences). Military and civilian vehicle producers submitted their ideas, but first choice was 4x4 simple and robust design from the then less-known corporation known as Commander. Commander had before light RWD 4-door truck known as The Patriot, but they submitted slightly-scaled down model known as a Baby Patriot, built on the 2.8m wheelbase and powered by 5.7 litre V8. Second difference was BP's 4x4 wheel drive. Baby Patriot was tested by US Army engineers and drivers, and was the choice no.1 for the support and scout role.
In 1985 Baby Patriot got additional armor, machine gun mounting and its interior was stripped down to the spartan, basic scale. Also side windows were converted for the firing port roles, that means for the shooting during driving. Armor was capable for holding 7.62mm, 5.56mm and light RPG hits without any crew suffering, so original RWD pick-up was completely converted for light 4x4 recon role. During the years, this military model received light facelifts, engine performance improvements and the fuel economy improvements and was produced until the early 2010s.
I present here the late 1990s model, the mk.2 one.
Although it was perfect for military role, it was failure on most civilian markets all around the world, even in the United States.
