The Lagau T1 XRM was derived from a car called "Project F" which it's goal is to compete with a stock Ferrari F40 on a racetrack in 1989. But the project was a total hassle to work on, the engine combined with the short wheelbase length meant that in high speed it would be VERY twitchy and
unstable, making it dangerous to go fast. coupled with the fact upon hearing that the F40 production run was about to end, they threw in the towel and shelved the project to be left to gather dust.
..........
But in 1991, they brought back the project to life and started on reworking on the car.
