Intro
The growing demand of four door saloon from Otnas Automotive has never been bigger before. Introducing, the Otnas Tamtam. A four-door saloon built by Otnas which promises sportiness, comfort, and efficiency. Development of the car began from the sport Esprit model first which means the Tamtam’s chassis is well built and tuned, and reliability is guaranteed.
Powertrain


In the 80s, Otnas tried to push efficiency more than what they have done before. Based of submarine tech, Otnas built the FUTURA Turbodiesel engine with common rail direct fuel injection. The engine is a 2.5-litre Inline 5 DOHC 20-valve engine with an aluminium block and cylinder head. The turbocharger boost will peak at 1 bar and fully spools at 2200rpm. Peak output is rated at 199hp at 5100rpm and 345Nm at 2300rpm. The fuel consumption is rated at 13.9 km/l (39.3 MPG).

To ensure comfort, all Tamtam turbodiesels are available with a 4-speed automatic transmission. This transmission would hold torque until 1200Nm. To ensure drivability, the car has a standard Torsen limited-slip differential.

Unmodified, the Otnas Tamtam Zen 2.5 Turbodiesel would accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just around 6 seconds and reach a top speed of 245 km/h.

Despite being quick since the start, we still offer various performance intakes, turbochargers, exhaust systems, suspension upgrades, and brakes.

Chassis

The Otnas Tamtam shares its platform with the Otnas Kucing. However the Otnas Tamtam has its engine mounted longitudinally, between the front axle to ensure the car would have a balanced handling. The front/rear weight distribution is 51F/49R. The car has four-wheel double wishbone suspension that optimizes wheel contact to the ground.

The car has three driving modes:

1. Comfort (Soft dampers)

2. Regular (Normal Dampers)

3. Sport (Hard Dampers)
