Many things come to mind, looking at the 1985 Durham Ardennes. Wine to every dinner, a butler named Reginald, and upper-class English accents. Don't be fooled though - this English rocket puts out over 400 horsepower from its V12 engine, sent directly to the rear wheels. It does have ABS, but no traction control.
Even so, it has a fantastic aura of high class. It's comfortable, looks great, and will certainly announce your presence anywhere you go. In the 80's, if you didn't have an Ardennes, could you even call yourself "rich"?
This thing is definitely quite a hoot, if you want it to be. It may not look like it, but it loves to be driven hard, and it really loves to slide. Get in, fire up that V12, and put your foot down!
