1985 Adam-Fischer Neuling GSi aka Opel Kadett E GSi

Disclaimer: I've made similar car based on Opel Kadett E GSi a long time ago. This time it's high-definition car made on request. Guess what, it's again the Opel Kadett E, now with more power, with turbo and decent handling. It's somewhat fat, because it's augmented with wide-body kit for better rally / racing feeling.

    The Story:

The Neuling Typ E was designed in 1981 as an futuristic, streamlined and curvy concept car for testing the new design ideas and also some new technical abilities. Previous, simple and boxy Typ D was replaced in the 1983, so Typ E was officialy launched by the 1984 last quarter.
It had almost any trim class (3-door hatch, 5-door hatch, 4-door sedan, 3 & 5 door station wagon called "caravan") and was big commercial success in Europe. The various engine options were offered ranging from 1.3 L inliner-4 up to the 2.0 L inliner-4. There were three transmission options, 4 & 5-speed manual transmission and 3-speed automatic one.
It was also assembled in former Yugoslavia until the 1991, in IDA factory in Serbian town Kikinda, and there was nicknamed "The Egg" owing to its design cues.
It was template for rally & racing car tuned by West German company Fischer. The body was augmented with wide-body kit, the 2.0 L engine was turbocharged so the car could reach 223 km/h. Also, the electronic-fuel injection was added. The tuned car could reach 0-100 km/h for 7.9 seconds. The car was simple alternative for imported Japanese FWD sporties which flooded the US & Western European markets in the 1980s.
Also it was used in low-class rallies during this decade. This car is stripped from most unneccesarily details - the simple lightweight seats and bench were added, and also the roll cage was used for supporting the rear side of the car.
The car comes in silver colour with dual-toned decals.

Have fun and enjoy cruising with this sporty Kadett. : )
