1984 ZMZ-469G / FIA Anarchist edition
Note: This UAZ-469 is third release based upon fans' requests. I've made clean and stock UAZ-469 in the Automation 4.24 engine, but now I've decided to made the same car rusty, dirty and with malfunctioning lights for better "Nuclear Winter" Cold-War based effect. It's inspired by the UAZ from the Armed Assault: Cold War crisis, set in the 1985, and used by the Czechoslovak guerillas called FIA. Now, almost 40 years later, the car still shows formidable offroad abilities, but is in decayed state, left out and forgotten until it was discovered by some Anarchist faction.
The Story:
In the late 1960s, Soviet government started developing the relatively modern, easy maintaned and reliable 4x4 for the Red Army needs. The car was intended as a replacement for aging GMZ-69 offroader, which was actualy scaled 4x4 light truck - very simple, reliable and easy to use too.
In 1971 GMZ-69A was replaced by the ZMZ-469, first purely Soviet 4x4 mass-produced design. Until 1989 it was produced not only for the army needs, but also as a cheap ambulance alternative, militsiya car and even a car for some state-owned enterprises (such as a forester vehicle), but until the collapse of Soviet Union, it never reached the civilian market.
The car proved to be very cheap and reliable offroader, so it was seen in many Warsaw pact armies since the early 1970s and also the Soviet allies from around the world. Because of that, until now it was, and still is, very common in all war theatres, from Vietnam to the Croatia and Bosnia, from Middle East to Afghanistan, from various African war-torn nations to various war-torn former Soviet republics, from North Korea to the Cuba, and so on.
This 4x4 is like cockroach on wheels, very durable and runs on very cheap gasoline. This one has some little tweaks in terms of gasoline and compression....see below where.
