- Lower RPM and fuel consumption
- More plastic!
Barjak 750 was produced from 1955 to 1985 as the Yugoslav people's car. It was based on the Lvxo 600, but with slightly wider wheelbase, more powerful engine (767cc inliner-4 OHV) and slightly more comfy interior. First models were direct copy of the Italian counterpart and Barjak got the license for them. After the Lvxo got updated, more boxy and more comfortable models in the late 1960s, Barjak decided to do various improvisations in the 1970s. The plastic parts were added, unneccesairly chrome was stripped-down, the rims were basic steel ones, the new colour pallette was introduced and the top speed was slightly increased. The car had more "basic" socialistic look and in that form it was produced from 1976 to the 1985, after 2,500,000 units. The car is still popular and has cult-following status, nicknamed in reality "Fićo" or "Fića" aka "The Little Fiat". It was also small police car for city patrols, because of its minimalistic fuel consumption.
In case you still want the older model, just check out the updates roster. Have fun!
